GARLIC BULB (9 Pack), FRESH CALIFORNIA SOFTNECK GARLIC BULB FOR PLANTING AND GROWING YOUR OWN GARLIC OR GREAT FOR EATING AND COOKING

I bought the garlic to plant next to my rose bushes.Not sure if they r working to keep bugs away yet. The value was great and fresh.better than food store.

Am using half of the order to plant some of the nice big cloves in my garden. The other half will get pressed and popped into the freezer.

I planted these back in November and they’re growing beautifully, they sprouted way faster than I expected.

This is my first attempt at planting garlic, so we’ll see how it turns out next spring. But I got 65 moderate to LARGE cloves that I planted, 35 smaller cloves I peeled and froze for cooking, and just two cloves that were kinda mushy and a little brown that I threw away.I could have planted more than 65 but I have a small raised bed and so I was very selective on which ones I planted.The heads arrived in a brown paper bag inside a paper mailer, which I liked, I wasn’t ready to plant them when they arrived and I didn’t have to worry about moisture, or them not being able to “breathe” in a plastic package. They had a nice subtle fragrance when I walked by them sitting on the counter and I can’t wait to see what comes up next year!

Seven beautiful garlic bulbs arrived quickly from Cross Creek Nursery in Chesterfield, MO. They were in first class shape. I plan to reorder from them again next season. The photo show the bulbs and a ruler so you can judge for yourself how nice they are.

When broken down into individual cloves for planting, this is a lot of garlic! My wife planted 90 cloves from these bulbs. Since October is the planting season up this way, we won't really know about taste or germination rates until the Spring. Fingers crossed that we will be overwhelmed with garlic next year!

When all the seed catalogues were out of stock, these guys saved my fall planting for garlic. Looks live most of the cloves planted 2 weeks ago are already sprouting.

I planted these about 3 days after they arrived. I planted all of the cloves. The ones that didn't have 'covers' I wrapped in a piece of paper towel. Watered and then it rained for a couple of days. I think this was Hurricane Nicole. Yes, I live in Florida. I counted, just because, 63 cloves. Every single one has grown. Currently about 6" tall. Looking forward to spring!

Don't waste your money. Took months to arrive. Extremely poor quality.
