Great solution for all those areas where people forget to turn off the lights!
These light up as you are approaching, so they are great to replace pull-chains in areas like basements--especially since service guys are notorious for not turning off the lights. They are also great for laundry rooms and other areas where people might leave the lights on, like closets, hallways, etc. Fantastic value. Remember that since these are super cheap to operate, you shouldn't be shy about ordering a size up--no one's going to complain about too much light when loading laundry or going through their keys to open the door of their apt. I suggest buying 1 and trying it out if you're thinking of replacing a bunch of standard on/off light bulbs.

Great bulb for tricky areas of the home!
Actually a really useful product! I was surprised at how well it works! We put it in our interior foyer area that leads from the master bedroom to the rest of the main house. I thought it would be nice at night if the kids get up and need us since they are upstairs, and there is not a light switch for this light in their path. I was a little worried when it came without instructions, but no instructions needed. Just screw it in like you would any other light bulb. It is not nearly as bright as the bulb we replaced because it is a bunch of little LED lights inside, but it works for where we have it. It only activates in the dark, so the bulb is not being wasted during daytime traffic, as this is a high traffic area in our house. Considering buying more for the basement, as those lights get left on a lot, and sometimes we don't know about it for days thanks to the kids!

Now I See You
Received this bulb and tested the same day.It is a bit dimmer than what I am used to but it is still bright enough to see. The only place I could use to was in the hallway. It worked, it stays on for about 30 seconds then turns off. With a 12 feet high ceiling my cats were able to trigger it just by walking into the hall. The sensor is on the bottom, it looks like a grey nipple. The illumination comes from the center white and there is large grey top, which seems to have no function. I would have given the bulb more white and less grey to give off more light.Overall, it's a decent bulb, would do well in a small room where you go into infrequently.

A second lamp was faulty but was replaced asap. And that bulb lasted less than a year. Will look for another brand.
We bought one of these bulbs to replace the light fixture over the front door on our Victorian wrap-around porch. I worked fine so we ordered another for the other side of our porch. It worked fine for a couple of weeks but has now subsided into a dull glow, 24/7. The original bulb worked great for two weeks, went into a fit of on/off/missing in action for a couple of weeks, and has now returned to respectable duty. Look elsewhere. That's what I said and I meant it. But then I had an email from the company apologizing for the faulty lamp and offering a replacement asap at no cost. It came in a few days and has worked flawlessly for a couple of weeks now. Could be a 4 or a 5, depending on how one sees things. But I'm happy that my front porch is lighted on demand

Hands free Automatic Proximity Motion Sensing Light convenience where you need it.
Hands free Automatic Proximity Motion Sensing Light convenience where you need it. Very well made and for 7 Watt has a bright white output that really lights up the area it is installed in. I put this in a Hallway near my bathroom so when I get up at night and enter the hallway it is instantly lighted so I can see where I am going.Simple to use just replace your existing light bulb and turn on the switch and leave the switch on. The light comes on as soon as you do so and will stay on until you leave the area then turn off within a minute on its own of you leaving the proximity of it,

Very sensitive in good way
The bulb works excellent however after 1 year and 2 months died. I like it, it senses in 118 Fahrenheit and in 30 Fahrenheit. Looking now for replacement. Was used on one side of tge house , sensitive and turn light on tgrough wall, so if we walked in garage the light will turn on outside.

Nice bulb!
This lightbulb is really cool! It is not a normal lightbulb but a motion sensor one. We have it in our light fixture outside in the front of the house. We leave it on all the time so when hubby comes home from work at night it will come on when he gets about 10 feet away from the door. The only thing we noticed is the light fixture glass cover did not fit. That is not a big deal as the bulb itself is rather nice looking, not gaudy. I hate to leave a light on outside in the summer as it does attract moths and other flying creatures, so I am hoping that this will eliminate this problem. I hate it when flying things get into the house because for some reason they always find their way into my bedroom at night. I really like this bulb! This review is voluntarily done.

It works in a framed fixture!
Initially, I bought one motion sensor bulb to give it a try in my staircase leading to the Basement/Garage. My garage/basement is how I enter into my home. So far I love the iRainy motion sensor light. Thus, I have purchased 3 more iRainy bulbs.I love the idea of not worrying about my safety & having the light come on especially when I come home after dark. Secondly, I know that I am saving on electricity. I.e. I don't have to leave the light on all day when I'm leaving in order to have light on when I return home after dark. I light switch is at the top of the stairs. My 1988 home obviously had an electrician not consider a light switch at the bottom of the stairs. Another added benefit is my Doggie has light in the basement after dark too. She stays in the basement when I am not home. FYI, she does have a doggie door to the outside, I don't lock my dog in the basement. :-)I will say that the iRainy motion sensor is in a frame casing. Amazingly, it still senses motion. Just a little slow coming on in my staircase. It takes me at least 2-3 steps onto my staircase before the light comes on. Now that I have installed 2 more in the Garage area of the Basement, I will have ample lighting to make it onto the staircase safely. I installed the other in my attic space/storage area because the light is about 6 feet from the entrance. The attic light has a string attached which I was always searching for in the dark to find that darn string. Another example of my 1988 home electrician not considering easy access for lighting. Problem solved with my iRainy motion sensor bulb. Love it, no more stumbling in the dark Thanks to my iRainy motion sensor lights.
