Layla and Dawn Detangling Hair Brush with Mirror, Detangle your Hair Smoothly for Wet or Dry Hair, Kids or Adults

Prior to receiving this brush, the process of detangling my three daughters' hair would go like this:Me: Children! Come here so I can brush your hair!Children: [whine, cry, run and hide]Me: [park daughters in front of Netflix, apply 2-3 bottles of No More Tears, and spend 30 minutes combing hair through screams of torture, while hoping the neighbors don't call the police]After receiving this brush, it goes like this:Me: Daughter #1, please brush your hair!Daughter #1: Okay Mama!Me: Daughter #2, you'll be next after her!D#2: Okay Mama!Daughter #3: But when will it be my turn?? I want to be FIRST!!!Okay, so Daughter #3 is three years old. But did you notice that they all eagerly and cheerfully brush their hair BY THEMSELVES??? What am I going to do with the extra 30 minutes every morning before school???

Let me just start by saying I have been brushing my daughter's long beautiful hair for 7years. And not a day goes by without her screaming at me that it hurts, then come the tears, and why mom why. I tell her we can cut it short, but it won't completely stop the tangles. Boy does her hair tangle. I don't know how she leaves in the morning with straight lovely locks and come home with an animal nest. I've bought detailing shampoos, conditioners, sprays, they don't stop the knots. But this brush, ohh this brush. We can't believe how completely awsome this brush is. I ran it through her hair. I mean I RAN IT THROUGH HER HAIR!!!!:-):-) No screaming or crying. This is the BEST BRUSH EVER!

It's a good brush to stash in your bag, but it also fits best into smaller hands like mine. I have straight, thick hair and this brush does detangle, but I wish the bristles were a little bit longer. The funky colored bristles are made of a soft plastic, and they feel really good running across my scalp. It's like one of those metal scalp massagers with the plastic tips. It feels similar, which is a very good thing.The mirror on the other side could come in handy if you're on the go, and it really can't hurt to own this brush. It cost only several dollars, it's cool looking, it feels good on your scalp, it brushes right through tangles without pain, and it's small, light and portable. I can't say how well or how long it will hold up, but it appears to be of decent quality for what it is: an inexpensive plastic brush. But I will say this again: If you have a larger hand, don't bother. The handle is just right for my small hand and slender fingers. You may want a more normal sized brush with a longer handle. It would probably be more comfortable to hold and to use.Otherwise, I like this brush. It's cute and it makes me WANT to brush my hair. It's like a small piece of cheap art that could save you time, money and... hair. I wouldn't mind the bristles being juuuust a little longer, like half an inch. But it could just mean i have to get used to the feel of this new brush. It's like the new, fancy kid in town.. "You're not from around here, are you?"

My daughter has type 2C hair and I have 3B, this brush works wonders for both us! I never dry brush our hair and I don't know why anyone with textured hair would. Anyways, my daughter is almost 2 and her hair is still the type that it can be washed every day. So every day after she gets out the shower, I apply detangler, brush with THIS brush, then finger in Shea Moisture's Curl & Style milk. People always ask how I keep her hair so healthy and how I am able to get her to sit to get styled (because that girl is wild and mean) but honestly it's because I have been using this process since the beginning so she has no negative memories connected to getting her hair done. In parenting, there's usually so much trial and error and its frustrating not getting things right the first time, but I am so glad I got this right on the first shot because I remember HATING getting my hair done as my mom had straight hair and did not know what to do with my hair type.

I am not tender headed. I can use any brush and just tear it through my hair with no problem. But my daughter is 4 and complains about half the time I brush her hair. I’ve tried conditioners and detangling spray and that helps some but it never completely solved the problem. I found this brush and thought why not?I was kind of skeptical because every thing else I had tried never completely fixed the problem. After it arrived I gave my daughter her bath. Used this brush on her hair while wet and she never said a word. I’ve used it several times on her today and she hasn’t complained at all. I’m buying 2-3 more so I can keep one in the car and one in a beach bag and a couple extra.

Best brush I have ever used in my life!!! Having, at average, mid to lower-back length hair all my life I have spent hours brushing out tangles. I needed an extra brush for my desk at work, and this brush was the right size, a good price, had a mirror and looked fun. The first time I used it I noticed the difference. I ordered another to be my main brush. What used to take me 5-15 minutes, depending on if my hair was wet, or it was windy, or I tossed and turned while I slept, now takes 1-3 minutes, no matter the condition. Considering how often we brush our hair the time savings adds up.My daughter who has thick Polynesian hair noticed a difference. I also got one for my mother-in-law who has hair past her butt; she agreed that it's awesome. When I had to buy another for my sister-in-law I finally decided to stock up because this will be everyone's Christmas present.I'm never buying a different brush again. I did get the bigger size for my at home brush; it feels more substantial and better in my hand but the small one does just as good a job.

I have type 3C ethnic/curly hair and this is better than any other brush I’ve used in the past.My hair sheds no matter what but at least with this it didn’t hurt and it detangled my hair quickly so that meant less brushing.I use a detangling solution to help the process but you can also just use A LOT of conditioner and use it on wet hair.It is travel size that fits in your purse and has a mirror on the back. I will most likely buy a few of these for backup
