It outside needs to be made in such a way as to grip them better. I like not having handles, so if you aren't going to have handles you have to do something else. Maybe you could make a band around the cup that's a bit rougher than the cup or make some ridges in the cup, anything for it to have a better grip. It works great in the car. Again, the grip needs to be addressed because it's to easy to slip out of your hand. Heavy duty plastic not your typical plastic. They are not bendable so you don't have to worry about them breaking and getting broke or misshaped. They are great first camping, bathroom and really anything! I got these for our bathrooms.
