Am I not cool?
This was by far one of the best purchases of my life. Yes, it is just basically a super solid ziplock bag, but I don't care. I read my Kindle why sitting in a pool drinking margs in Cabo San Lucas and you didn't. My girlfriend also could not stop making fun of me. I have no idea why the decided that this product needed a strap to wrap around your neck. What is the possible point of that? Looking like a bigger geek? It is bad enough that I have to remember to pack 24 different chargers every time I go on vacation for my Kindle, Laptop, Phone, DS, Ipod, etc. but now I am wearing a plastic Kindle protector around my neck? That is just a little much.I don't have any fancy video to add (although I certainly watched that review pre-purchase and then demonstrated the same thing to any friends who would watch). The one slightly annoying thing is it is hard to slide the power button when the case is on... oh well, I was reading my kindle in a pool! How cool is that?!?!?! Why wouldn't you want to be reading your books while in a pool, pools are awesome.

It works, but handling is somewhat inconvenient.
The most important thing first: It works. And by 'it works' I mean it allows you to read your kindle while floating on the pool and I can attest that it performs the function of saving the accidentally dropped device from drowning adequately (it will float) ;)Packaging and 'handling' the kindle with it however is pretty clunky. Whenever the device turns off, you have to reopen the case, extract the kindle, slide the power button, and repackage it to be water proof. If your reading style is does not involve frequent page turning, this case is probably not for you.Bottom line: Works as advertised but handling is clunky to annoying depending on how often your kindle goes into powersave while you use it.

Excellent product
I have only had this waterproof case for a day, but it has already saved my new Kindle at least six times! Yep... you guessed it... I am clumsy. I also have several dogs that like to jump on and off my lap -- sometimes while I juggle a cup of tea and a book -- it doesn't always end well. The neck strap has kept my new toy from hitting the floor several times, the waterproof feature saved it from splattered tea at lunch, and I was able to read a book while I walked the dogs in falling snow. I wish I could turn the Kindle on and off without opeing the waterproof pouch, but that is a very minor trade-off for all the protection this pouch affords.

Does a great job at waterproofing Kindle(s)
It does what it says- it makes my Kindle waterproof and protected from the elements. It's also very easy to close. Click click click and done; sturdier and more reliable than my trusty ziploc bag that I used to use for waterproofing. My only complaint is this, and if there is a solution, I would love to hear it:I have the K3 all nice, snug and tightly-waterproof in its red padded Waterguard. I put the Kindle aside for a few minutes and it goes to "sleep". When I return (or wake up?) -- I have to take it out of the safe, waterproof case with my wet (or sandy) hands to turn it back on. I do understand the procedure to keep it dry when opening it up, but it's a little time-consuming.... and putting openings for the power button would not be possible (and stay waterproof) so I'm not sure what the solution could be.I tried pushing the Kindle up higher to push the power switch on but that is making a "thin" place in the clear plastic from my fingernail.Any solution and I'll edit this to a FIVE star because it definitely keeps it waterproof.Edited to add: great customer service! See the comment to my posting. I'm impressed with a company who cares about customer reviews! I'll 'up' the review to a 5 because of the customer service.

Falls apart after 3 months!
I've had this 4 months now. It is impossible to insert and remove your Kindle without causing rips in the plastic. It was a waste of money as far as waterproofing goes. I still use it to transport my Kindle in a hands-free manner, but it has ripped so far that I may not be able to use it for that much longer.

Performs as represented
I used this case for 14 days and it performed well. Kept sand, suntan lotion and the odd beer splash off my kindle as I relaxed on the beach. With a little fiddling, the Kindle can be turned on by letting it slide to the top of the case and using your finger nail to slide the on off switch. Not sure where the lease when the leash would come in to play and I just left it at home.

Just what I needed
During the summer months and my vacation from teaching, I spend A LOT of time floating in my pool reading on my Kindle. I have been using double zip-lock bags, but they are cumbersome, either too small or WAY too big for the Kindle and become foggy. Well, this past summer I decided to bite the bullet and by a waterproof case. I am absolutely thrilled with it. It is heavy duty and fits my Kindle Keyboard nicely. The plastic is thick and at first I thought it would be hard to wake my Kindle when needed. Well, since it is exposed to the hot sun, the plastic becomes soft and pliable making it easy to wake my Kindle. I worried that it would stretch the plastic but it hasn't and I have used it TONS! I have ordered a Paperwhite and can't wait to see how well they work together. HIGHLY recommend this product!

Useless.
What's the point of having Waterproof case when you have to open and close it switch your kindle on and off and keep on doing it every time it goes to sleep???On the other hand it makes a good case for keeping in your car keys and other items that you want to protect from sand and water.

Practical protection for the Kindle
I bought two of these so my partner and I could happily use our new Kindles whilst on a beach holiday. Very satisfied - they provide good protection for the Kindle from sand and dust without in any way hampering reading. Easy to open and close to remove the Kindle for charging. As others have commented, the "wake" switch is a little fiddly, but it isn't a real problem.
