I've tried almost everything out there, dipped sticks, tapes, and for a while was using stick wax which worked well but I got tired of cleaning it off my rims. I was hesitant at first because I did not like how the grip covered the entire stick and was concerned how that would sound on cymbals and if it would flake off easily, etc. I've been using these for two weeks and have been very pleased. The sound is great, I like the slightly larger acorn tip. And the coating is holding up very well. Nothing flaking off on my cymbals, pretty much just looks like a regular stick. The grip is great. It felt a little powdery at first, but I just washed them quickly with warm water and dish detergent and they are nice and tacky, but not too tacky. I think these would work well for any situation, whether you have dry hands like me or get sweaty hands. They seem very durable, great balance and weight. My other concern was the wood tip. While I like to use them to perform, I prefer to practice with nylon as they last longer. I've had issues with wood tips chipping after a while.
