This beautiful and artistic coffee table is ready to ship!. It's made from a highly figured maple slab with playful natural edges and a ton of organic curiosities. The two drying checks at one end (cracks) have been filled with an epoxy resin and stabilized with two hand-cut bowtie inlays; one in maple and the other in walnut. The top is fitted onto four reclaimed Danish styled tapered legs. I replaced the hanger bolts in the legs, cleaned up the surface and attached brand new mounting brackets beneath the table top. With the time invested in the legs alone I could've created new ones, but I like breathing life into old things, especially a cool old mid century set like these. The legs are stained in a walnut color which give a nice nod to the remnant bark on the live edges and the walnut bowtie inlaid into the surface. The table has been planed flat, sanded smooth and finished in an oil and poly combo to resist moisture and protect against scratches. This is a naturally flashy piece with a funky mix of mid-century modern, natural solid hardwoods, reclaimed materials, sustainable lumber and handmade craftsmanship. I loved making this coffee table and I'm sure you'll love using it in your space! Measures 52" L x 14"-16" D x 15 1/2" H. The maple slab is a solid 1 5/16" thick.
