They leave a lot to be desired.
Thought I wass getting a deal seeing Dana saw git to put their name on the box. Wrong. First off, the overall thickness of the ring gear is thicker than oem. I haven't measured to see exactly where yet. This requires a major reduction in left side shim pack. Far from where Ford instructions say to start.Second, the parallel of the ring gear is off, making it impossible to get a consistent backlash all the way around the gear.Third, I'm now in rearend for the 4th time now trying to make these gears quiet.Forth, these are milled gears, not hobbed, so they do not follow the standard setup. The pattern for milled gears moves differently than hobbed gears, and requires a tighter backlash and sometimes a different pinion preload. No documentation included.Do yourself a favor and get a set of ford racing gears.
