would this help distribute the oil in hair like a boar hair bristle brush?

I doubt it it’s a nice brush to Untangle hair but it does not have the volume of bristles that a boar brush has.

Can this be used with wet thick hair?

I wouldn't recommend using this with wet hair since it's wood , that would probably cause splitting or mold in the bristles overtime.

Can you wash this brush?

I wash my hair brush by running it through my hair with shampoo. Or you can hand wash and clean with alcohol and qtip.
