Great Picture & Plays Everything
I really like this blu-ray player and use it daily. It will play whatever you put in it and provides a quality picture. It appears to be compatible with everything.

Solid, basic machine
Good compact machine, very easy setup, simple and quick connection to my home wifi, quick loading of BD discs and DVDs. A good, basic machine, low cost, and seems "solid" in every way. The remote is simple (uncomplicated) and very serviceable; it's small, but no bigger than it needs to be, which is very good. If the unit has any down side, I'd say that the services it comes supplied with in the online area are mostly not useful to me, most seem expired or don't deliver anything. There's not yet a firmware update (as of March 23, 2023) available for the machine, and maybe an update will contain new and more useful icons to click on which will be up to date and operable, we'll see. I like this machine!, and it supplements another Sony BD player of mine which has been made "region-free" for BDs and DVDs, but which has no wifi capability. The two players now use up both HDMI inputs into my LG TV. Another great provision of this player is that it comes along with an HDMI cable in the package. I think it is a bargain at the price. EDIT [added March 26, 2023]: I find that the user manual is unclear or incorrect about ADDING apps to the "[My Apps]" area of the Home Screen. Here is what works for me: To ADD apps to the [My Apps] area, first click the large "+" (plus) sign in the [My Apps] area. A new screen of apps, "[All Apps]", will appear. In that new screen of [All Apps] icons (tiles), click on one that you want to add to [My Apps]. The selected app will then appear in [My Apps]. To add more apps from [All Apps] to [My Apps], repeat this. I have not yet tried REMOVING apps from [My Apps], but I'll take a look at that soon. -- J.L.M. EDIT [added March 29, 2023] To REMOVE an app from [My Apps], click "Options" and use the Remove selection.

Good for Blu-ray playback.
Removing one star because the Netflix app hangs and freezes. Good Blu-ray player.

Great value, picture and sound
This Bluray/DVD player is a good quality and great value for the money. It has lots of features and easy instructions allowing u to play CD, DVD, Bluray and Roku. When my friends moved into their new place, I bought them one and they really enjoy it.

For the money, is a great little player for my RV. It is 12vdc!
Very small footprint, nice little remote although I couldn't program it to control my Furrion RV TV. (EDIT: - It will control Furrion TV using the LG tv settings (pressing tv power on button on remote simultaneously with red button on remote for 2 seconds. Maybe I didn't hold buttons long enough first try.) But my Furrion remote works controlling main functions on account of HDMI connection. It is 12vdc, meaning I can cut the AC to DC wall plug off and attach a 12v plug. Perfect! My TV is 12vdc, and this will allow a direct connection to DC power in RV without using inefficient inverter off grid. The Wifi works, but the 'apps' are meh. The only one I've heard of is the Netflix app. Not sure of the purpose of the Pandora app, not going to be listening to music on my TV. No other apps available to add. That's ok, because I will use my Amazon Firestick for more online choices. I really don't watch TV in my RV anyhow, just got it to fill in some hours on rainy bad weather days, or before bed. And being that most RV park Wifi stinks and you can't stream on, will be nice to be able to play whatever discs I bring, be it DVD or BluRay. I was surprised Amazon shipped this to me in just a plastic bag around the original carton, can't believe it was not damaged in transit. They went from too much packaging, to inadequate packaging anymore.

Sony BDP-BX370 - Does Not Last
I bought two of these Blu-Ray players back in August of 2023. One gets used almost daily; the other about once a week. The one I used daily suddenly stopped working after only 16 months of use. I was watching a DVD and paused it briefly. When I returned to resume the show, I got an onscreen (error) message saying the disc could not be played. The message suggested that I clean the disc or that it is not the correct format to play in this unit. Neither of those suggestions was correct, as I had watched this disc multiple times before in this player with no issues. So I unplugged the unit, waited a few minutes, then plugged it back and also tried using multiple different DVDs (both standard and Blu-Ray), along with updating the player software. However, I got the same results. The disc would not load and the error message popped up again saying the disc could not be played (either it was dirty, not the correct format, or not properly formatted at all). I'm not a software engineer, but this problem sounds like an operating system issue to me. I could not find a way to reset the player, other than resetting it back to factory settings, which I did, but to no avail. And even though I tired to update the player software, the unit said I already had the latest software version installed. Since this is just a DVD/Blu-Ray player and nothing else, it is now only suitable for electronics recycling. I specifically bought the Sony brand based on past experience (I had one Sony DVD player that lasted over 20 years without any problems). But based on this experience, I no longer trust the Sony brand. In summary, when this unit played, it worked fine. But when out of the blue it decided to stop working, it was a permanent decision. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this unit or the Sony brand in general to anyone. I guess the best consumer philosophy to apply these days is to forget about buying a more expensive top brand item; just buy the cheapest one and plan on throwing it out after a few months.

Small footprint. Works great as Blu Ray. Can't comment on Apps.
I have a smart TV, so I didn't need a device to stream. We moved the XBox up to my son's room, and just needed something to play physical disks. This seems to be great. I was surprised by how small it is. About the size of a cigar box. Works with the remote control from my Samsung TV, without any programming. I did put an old DVD of The Big Lebowski in to see how the up-sampling works, and the video quality is passable but not awesome. It's hard to remember how incredible DVDs looked on an old-school SD TV. Not so much on a 4K TV. I'm spoiled in that way. The sound is still great with my Samsung sound bar. The Goodfellas Blu ray looks perfect. Happy with this. No complaints. And a Sony at the same price as a no-name Walmart special can't be scoffed at. Would buy again.

For Region A Blurays and R1 DVDs only.
As the title says, this Sony player (BDPBX370) only plays Region A Blurays and Region 1 DVDs, ie, discs for the North American market. It will NOT play region B Blurays or region 2 DVDs which are meant for the UK & Europe. However I have a collection of R1 DVDs so was looking for a player to do this, so this fits the bill. Some reviews have mentioned it also coming with a power supply for North America, however mine came with a power supply for UK/Ireland sockets which suited me fine. The player needs a 12 volt DC supply, so if you want this player it’s easy enough to pick up a power supply for UK/Ireland/European sockets. Overall I’m happy with this player as it does what I need, which is play North American discs.
