Review: Solid wound care dressing at a decent price point - Pro: there are sizes to fit all wound care needs. The dressing pads are absorbent. Con: the sticky parts along the edges are a little on the thin side it would be more useful if there were more sticky parts especially when you're trying to wrap this rascal around the side of a foot and you need to make it stick good. It's not a showstopper however as you can easily cover this with gauze to make sure and keep it in place.

The adhesive becomes goopy and gummy and almost melts into your skin. Even the packaging was different. I ordered these only a few weeks after the original order. I'm going to try once more but if the quality is terrible I'm going to need to switch brands. Original - This product is a great substitute for people who have a sensitivity to medipore tape. It can secure absorbent dressings to wounds and has a similar hold to medipore take but is easier to put on and much more gentle to remove. I've tried quite a few different brands of island dressings and while this can still cause some irritation it is by far the most gentle I've found for my skin that is still light, breathable, and holds well.

A: The 4" x 4"  Island Dressing has a 2' X 2" pad.  I actually measured it; not a SWAG.

A: There is about and inch or inch and a half round the gauze pad. Probably 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 or 5x5. Plenty of room for a full size gauze pad

**Q: what are the dimensions of the gauze pad, excluding the surrounding tape?**
A: The gauze pad, excluding the surrounding tape, is 2 in X 2 in.

**Q: What is the thickness of the foam pad? I'm looking for something at least 5 mm thick, thanks.**
A: It’s not that thick but it protects well. I fell and messed up my arm. Scrapped the skin off! This worked great at protecting that wound.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great absorption, great coverage, TOO great adhesion.

Bandages work great, actual bandage size is probably closer to 4.5x4.5 for the 6x6 option, but that's plenty. The adhesive is STRONG, almost too strong. Taking this off hurt a TON. I needed to use this on my side, and it stuck amazing no matter what movements I was making, but I needed to douse the thing in water to take it off. Even with the water, the adhesive stuck extremely well. My main downside is the red marks this left. Since I had to borderline rip the bandage off, the adhesive left a large red square on my side. If not for that, this would be a 5 star bandage.
