In spite of looking like a jenga game, it is very simple to put together. I didn't use glue, 'cause here in east Texas, it melts in the summer and makes a heck of a nasty mess. I haven't used the nails yet, I'll finish that tomorrow. I will drill pilot holes, so I don't split the wood. I was extremely skeptical about buying this online. I must say I am very pleased with it!! Absolutely excellent quality, very well made. I wish I'd gotten my entire hive from them, I would've stained it instead of painting, this box is very nice looking! I will buy from these folks again when it's time to add another box (or, over the grumblings of my not-so-enthusiastic husband, another hive....). The joints fit perfectly, no issues whatsoever. I've bought them twice now, for a total of seven of these kits. The only downside is that the frames are not pre-waxed. I usually add more wax anyways, so this was not much of an issue for me. Make sure to pre-drill holes to avoid splitting.
