Beautiful and luxurious, but hard to install and some design flaws
My husband has wanted a steam shower for years, so when I remodeled our master bath I had to get one for him. To have our existing shower retrofitted for a steam cabinet would have cost many thousands of dollars and I just did not have it in the budget, so I got a freestanding unit instead. Overall, we really like it a lot, with a few comments. We got the 42" and I am glad we did - I can't imagine being able to turn around or really enjoy the 36" unit as there is not a lot of room to spare with this one.The picture looks like the glass is clear, but it is smoked and not really as see-through as you'd think. I like the way it looks, personally but when the doors are closed and all the blue lights are on it looks very futuristic - we call it the "Tardis." Our new bathroom is very modern so it works well but it might look odd in a more traditional one.The waterfall shower is just awesome. Large showerhead and a LOT of water. The jets over the seat are nice for massaging the back or for me, a short person, getting water in places the showerhead does not necessarily reach. There is also a spray arm, which my husband uses but I don't,, and a foot washer, which neither of us has really used yet. Maybe if I get really dirty or my feet hurt sometime down the road I will give it a spin, but it's just a little extra attachment that does not serve much purpose right now.A couple of design issues - in order to turn on the water, you have to reach in through the doors to the back of the unit, so you ALWAYS get wet when the water starts to flow. Plus, you have to reach through the water to adjust the temp. It's not so much of an issue if you start with the spray arm setting, but if you start with the waterfall head your arm will get wet, and if you start with the back jets you will get sprayed (and so will your bathroom). Also, because the bottom is a "tub" (way too small to actually sit in except maybe for a dog or child), there is a significant step OVER to get in and out. As a shorty, I have to hold on to the side of the unit to do it.The control unit for the extras - lights, music, steam - looks like an ipad and is mounted on the back wall. We are still trying to figure out how to tune and adjust the volume, because the manual is very minimal and in not-well translated english. We have been able to bluetooth our phones to it to listen to our music,as the FM receiver only gets a couple of stations where we have the unit located. The speaker is small and does not have fabulous sound quality, but it's OK. That's not really my biggest concern when buying a shower! The steam unit generates more than enough steam to get good and hot - we were worried because it is a small generator but it works fine. The first time we used it, we blew a breaker, so our electrician had to put it on its own circuit. The steam vent itself sits on the floor and will scald your leg if you are sitting on the seat, so we use a towel to protect ourselves, It might be a better design idea to have the vent face away from the seat. Our plumber was not thrilled with the installation instructions or process. There are a lot of parts and not a lot of instructions, so he had to figure a lot of things out on his own. The drain is a bit of an issue - it's a flexible pipe and when combined with our old plumbing, we do get a little bit of water around our feet before it completely drains. The seller was great and gave us his phone # in case the plumber needed to ask any installation questions.Overall, we really like the unit and it looks wonderful. I will check back in a few months to report on how it is holding up in regular use.

Bath Master 8002-A Spa Steam Shower
I recently installed this item in my bath. The system is amazing for the price. I am still testing it but everything seems to work. The seller is very easy to work with. I would have given a rating of 5 but the instructions were very difficult to work with. There was some guess work. The hookup for the drain hose was one of the questions on how to connect to the drain since the hose end is very thin. I solved it with a furcoat connector to a PVC elbow. Make sure you use silicone everywhere. If anyone has questions on the installation, contact me and I will try to help.

Great looking unit
Installed in the basement that was being finished. Great looking unit, very helpful merchant. Assembly took time without written instructions, but my construction guy was able to do it and the plumber hooked it up. It works very well, although I need to understand some of the touchpad options, may have to call him again.
