Cheap - Comments relate to use with a AMD Althon X4 840 Processor on FM2+ Socket Fitting was easy, just unscrew the two side screws a bit, then place on the processor, connect the two clips, and screw tight. The processor is rated as 72 Celsius (Core Temp/Margin) and 95 Watts. This fan is rated as 90 Watts. Fan runs at 25% when idle ~950rpm, and I would say its quiet, but by no means loud. An important point is that as it's a PWM fan, as it speeds up with loading there is little change in the sound - just a sort of quiet bee hive buzz. I didn't think the fan was all that large and sits quite low. Tip: If you are using a AMD processor you should download their 'AMD Overdrive' software. The way AMD rate their processors is not quite as obvious as it seems. The temperature quoted is the Core Margin not the CPU Temp! With the software above you will get a display of the Core Margin from the 'Board Status' page. The temperature when completely idle should correspond the processor's rating - if this is way off the cooling fan is not making proper connection with the CPU. This piece of software also has a 'Stability Test' which will drive all the processor at 100% loading for hours, should you wish. This is worth doing as you will be able to determine your overall PC cooling margin when fully loaded - minus any heat from a discrete graphics card if you have one. Be aware that other temperature determining software would not necessary report the appropriate temperatures with AMD processors. As an example with the processor above this fan yielded the following: 100% Loading, CPU Temp 64 Celsius, Core Margin 14 Celsius, Fan RPM 2050 (Max 2300) - Note the case is a factor and there was only a 200mm case fan. Ambient ~20 Celsius. Overall I would say this is a very good fan, but not for Over-Clocking (which would cause the CPU to generate far more heat than 95Watts). Note: The CPU Temp. (Idle) can vary quite a bit between processor types, for example A10s/A8s tend to be close to ambient, however this processor was around 35-40 when idle. Hence why you should use the AMD software to determine if the fan is fitted correctly - Core Margin should match the Processor Rating. FWIW, with a R7 260X discrete graphics card, Skyrim runs on Ultra Settings and the fan barely has to speed up. Review: Muy bueno . Calidad y precio. - Esperemos que aguante mucho tiempo ## Features - IMPROVED COOLING PERFORMANCE THANKS TO THE NEW PRODUCTION PROCESS: The new production process makes it possible to manufacture a powerful and at the same time very compact radial heat sink - LOWER ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION & LOW VIBRATION: The new Alpine 23 CO is powered by a redesigned motor that makes it much quieter and particularly economical - PRE-APPLIED THERMAL PASTE: Comes with efficient and durable ARCTIC MX-2 thermal paste pre-applied. This means the Alpine 23 CO can be installed and operated directly out of the box - DUAL BALL BEARING: Thanks to its dual ball bearing, the ARCTIC Alpine 23 CO is optimised for continuous operation - SIMPLE AND SECURE ASSEMBLY: Thanks to its new new mounting clips, installation is child's play. Simply plug the Alpine 23 CO is simply into the existing AMD retention modules and screw tightly ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08QNBBVH5 | | Air Flow Capacity | 1200 Cubic Feet Per Minute | | Best Sellers Rank | #158,960 in Computers ( See Top 100 in Computers ) | | Brand | ARCTIC | | Brand Name | ARCTIC | | Compatible Devices | Desktop | | Cooling Method | Fan | | Cooling method | Fan | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 3,827 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04895213702836 | | Included Components | Alpine 23 CO | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 9.9L x 12.1W x 6.5H centimeters | | Item Type Name | ARCTIC Alpine 23 CO AMD CPU cooler | | Item Weight | 275.5 Grams | | Manufacturer | ARCTIC | | Material Type | Polycarbonate | | Maximum Rotational Speed | 2700 RPM | | Model | ACALP00036A | | Noise Level | 0.3 Sones | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | ACALP00036A | | Power Connector Type | 4-Pin | | Power connector type | 4-Pin | | Product dimensions | 9.9L x 12.1W x 6.5H centimeters | | UPC | 840033400633 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Voltage | 12 Volts | | Wattage | 1.08 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** ARCTIC - **Compatible Devices:** AM4, AM5, AMD - **Cooling Method:** Air - **Material:** Aluminum - **Maximum Rotational Speed:** 2700 RPM - **Noise Level:** 0.3 Sones - **Power Connector Type:** 4-Pin - **Product Dimensions:** 3.88"L x 4.76"W x 2.56"H - **Voltage:** 12 Volts - **Wattage:** 1.08 watts ## Images ![Alpine 23 CO - Compact AMD CPU cooler for AM4, Thermal compound MX-2 pre-applied, for Continous Operation, Computer, PC - Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Ad8OMGlYL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would this cooler be efficient enough while gaming for a stock non-oc'd ryzen 5 3600? i've heard the ryzen 5 3600 might be too much for this cooler?** A: Mining with a 5600 using this cooler no problemo ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Handy. Prix très raisonnable pour le résultat obtenu. je recommanderai ce produit sans hésiter. ## Frequently Bought Together - ARCTIC Alpine 23 CO - Compact AMD CPU Cooler for AM5 and AM4, Thermal Compound MX-2 pre-Applied, for Continous Operation, Computer, PC - Black - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor - ARCTIC MX-4 (4 g) - Premium Performance Thermal Paste for All Processors (CPU, GPU - PC), Very high Thermal Conductivity, Long Durability, Safe Application, Non-Conductive --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/322188909-alpine-23-co-compact-amd-cpu-cooler-for-am4-thermal](https://www.desertcart.be/products/322188909-alpine-23-co-compact-amd-cpu-cooler-for-am4-thermal) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
