Love the device! Make sure you get the SD card which is stated in the product detail, however, I did not see it, but no big deal, got one at a Target!! One issue that you should know is that if your photos are backed up to the cloud with the IPhone it will not work. So, what I did is turn off my auto back up. My daughter in law didn't have her back up on so she was able to transfer 1100 photos to this device in just a few min!!! All photos as well as videos were easily transferred! I will just upload my future photos to this device and then back up to the cloud. If anyone as a solution to get photos that are on the cloud back to the phone please post!!! Other than abov stated issues, very happy with the product and the response from this company trying to help me resolve the problem was very prompt! Note if u are in the US and the company is in UK, so communicating was done via email.Only reason for 4 star is that I wish I could upload photos on my phone that have already been sent to the cloud....

I already own the SanDisk iexpand but I needed something that could handle more capacity. I purchased a 128gb micro sd card for the Apple iExpand and it works beautifully. The only physical problem with it is that I was unable to plug in the lightning connector into my iPhone because the otter box protection cover inhibited the port. So I had to strip my iPhone of its otterbox in order to use the iExpand. Also, when you first start to watch a video, the info screen comes on with the duration of the video and other bits of info as it should. And in order to get rid of it you just tap the display of your iPhone. But as I'm watching a video this "info" screen has a habit of coming on every so often on its own. Usually, the info screen comes on when you touch the display. But why it's doing it randomly without touching the phone display, I don't know. Can be annoying at times.If anything, the Apple iExpand is good for storage. It helps out when you only have 16gb of storage like I do on my iPhone.

I bought this after being disappointed by the Sandisk iXpand. In a nutshell, this does everything it is supposed to and does it easily. I have transferred photos and videos with ease, but even better than that, in my book, is that I have a 64gb micro sd card in it, and it holds a full library of movies and books and manuals in .pdf format. The movies -- in all formats, including .avi, .mp4, .mov, etc -- run flawlessly. And reading the .pdf files is equally easy. And none of it takes space on my iPad, iPod, or iPhone.Nor, as best as I can tell, does it rely on the iThing apps to do its job. This is a blessing and a curse. There are two things that it cannot do: it cannot read epub books; nor can it read .cbr format comic books. If it could do that, I would be happy as can be. Because this seems to operate on software built into its app, I hope that updating the app could gain these perfecting (for me) abilities. (I give it five stars because it does everything it is advertised as doing and does it well. I did not deduct points because it does not perform an unclaimed task that I wish it did.)As it is, it has doubled the pleasure of my iThings. Would I buy another one? You bet! In fact, I already did.

I bought these to put a bunch of movies on it for our 2 day long road trip. So far they are working great. Easy enough to use that my 6 year old had no problem figuring out how it works. There are only two things that I think will become an issue.1. There is no cap to protect the Apple Lightning connection. I can see that breaking if it's in your pocket or a bag.2. The design does not allow it to plug into my iPad mini with the kind of case that is on them so I have to take them out of the case leaving them vulnerable to damage.So overall I am please with how they work.P.S. - Make sure you have a micro sd card to put your data on because these do not come with memory. Which I knew when I got them I just wanted to mention this in my review in case someone reading this didn't know.

I wanted a device I could use to bridge the Win/iOS world. This one sounded promising but you have to carefully read the description: "Play music files in the background (straight from the Flash Drive) – even whilst using other apps or when the phone is locked! Take Videos & Pictures directly via the iExpand to automatically save them on the Flash Drive". It does what it says, not what I wanted it to which was to copy music from my computer into the iPad music library (trying to eliminate the need for a computer). There is a way to transfer music, but it requires iTunes and a computer. It was disappointing for my original intended use, but it does act as a memory expansion. Just realize that, apparently due to software limitations, not all files from all apps can be transferred. If anyone knows better, I would appreciate hearing about it. Also, One plug is exposed at all times. Would be nicer if the case were longer and offered an intermediate position allowing both Tips to be protected at once.

Wow! If you want an absolutely easy way to download your video & music formats, and other hard to get at items without being tied to iTunes, then the answer is here! Finally, easy to use, easy to transport, easy to store anywhere that supports USB! I am not a real techie... and for me to find this was a blessing well worth more than its weight in gold! You will not be disappointed! I downloaded over 2000 photos like nothing, in no time flat, with a few clicks! A must have for all with a i-issue like I had... but no more! Oh, and I recommend to buy the suggested card with it... it is a really great suggestion from the guys at Amazon for another great product selection! Go on... get to ordering!

This little device solved the problem I was having with storage on my iPhone 6 due to photo storage. Very easy connection & always works flawlessly. You can create various folders to categorize your photos. The only reason I deducted a star is once the photos are transferred, they're not in the same chronological order as they originally were on the phone. Again being able to categorize them helps, but I still like my pics to be in date/time order. Would purchase again.
