Awesome for camping, or for your Zombie survival kit
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. So on Facebook the other day, David Wolfe posted a video involving a solar cooker. It was awesome. So of course, I was excited about it, and then, mine got here. This is the Total Survival version of the solar cooker. This model has some really unique features that are really nice. The first that stands out to me the most is the way the case is designed. The entire cooker folds into a case that looks like a long briefcase. The latches are really good quality, and it is really easy to set up. Check out my video to see how fast you can set it up.Another thing I like about it is it has a really simple sun dial in order to align it with the sun for optimal cooking angles. This was really easy for me to use in order to get up to 350 degrees!!! This is of course hot enough to cook anything you need. Plus, since all you need is the sun, you are good to go! Even if its cold outside. I really like this thing, and we have used it 4 or 5 times already. I was so amazed at how well it worked
I received this item as a gift. It was purchased on Amazon. I was so amazed at how well it worked, I felt like I should take some pics and leave a review. First of all, it is a great idea that the carrying case is built in to the solar oven. I saw a similar item where the carrying case was separate and expensive.We used this at the ambulance service where I work and made a cake. It was a cake mix. We just followed the regular directions. I was a moderately sunny day. It baked in about an hour and was so moist! The pan cleaned up very easily as well.Then we tried sausage and shrimp. You can see the pics how well it cooked them. I did take a few pics of the thermostat as well which works like a charm and seems very accurate.This was very easy to set up and take down. Not heavy at all. This was a great gift and will get a lot of use out of it.
