Thinkware T700 Front Dash Cam

Absolutely disgusted with thinkware and the T700 LTE. After going through the palaver of hard wiring the device front and back, it wouldn’t connect to the app. WiFi was constantly disabled on start up, didn’t matter if the engine was running or not. Not a low voltage issue at my side as car was running at 14.7v. Then tried to do a firmware update as per the instructions on the thinkware website, this ruined the memory card and it was unsalvageable. I also tried to connect the 4g LTE as your supposed to be able to set up via the thinkware connect app, no! “SIM card number not recognised please try again” well that didn’t work. I messaged tech support, they did get back to me but not until early evening as they are in a US pacific coast time zone. This was about as much use as a chocolate fire guard. We kept going round in a very small circle as they wanted video proof of what the device was doing and what steps I had taken. Bearing in mind this was all done in a very small time window due to the time zone difference and spread over multiple days. I got so fed up of the ridiculous technical support that I just removed the device and sent it back to Amazon. Amazon have been fantastic, instant return label available, dropped of at the local post office free of charge and refund issued with no quibbles. If only Thinkware had been 10% as good it would have been 100% better than they where.

Good 1080p camera LTE function is good have had no issues Will notify you via phone app if impact is detected to car whilst parked But not on par with blackvue features wise

I'm on my third T700 now - one in my car, one in the wife's, and one in my last car. Front and rear picture quality are great, sensitivity and notifications can be tweaked to your liking, and the reassurance of parking coverage is great. However, there's a current problem with the SIMs offered by Thinkware Connected - the device says it's connected to the internet, but no service available, so there's no remote uploading or notifications. Thinkware aren't giving any updates on resolution, just a "we'll add you to the list of affected users" and that's it. So, you've paid for a connected dash cam and an annual subscription for connection, and they don't work. Once Thinkware sort this mess out, I'll happily revise the review back to 5 stars.

I think Amazon shouldn’t ship products to countries where they don’t work without first telling the customer the risks associated. This camera arrived fast, but it’s functionality is very bad. It doesn’t recognize any local SIM card, only the front camera has been working, the rear camera shows a black screen permanently. The quality perceived is not very good resolution. I am asking a refund now, because customer service for countries outside europe is also very bad. Totally disappointed about this product and willing not to use any Thinkware in South America ever again, and I am really sorry about all this, since I was the most interested person in making it work properly.

I ordered the T700LTE to overcome the issues my dashcam has with a heated windscreen not allowing a GPS signal. The SIM supplied with the T700LTE does not work in the UK The App does not allow you to register the unit without the SIM You cannot connect to it via Wi-Fi to fix setup I have just wasted over an hour trying to get it to work, but it won't. Do Not Buy this as it does not work

Best option for 4g lte camera ..better then blackvue ..no problems so far

ice kware have had major problems with the camera connecting to the t700 app globally Witch meansyoucan not see what's going on via viewing the dashcam or see any impact notifications. You can not turn off the camera. this has happened happened twice to me in a month with no email or message from thinkware, this is an expencive unit.i hope they can reslove these's probblems quickley overwise they will loose there customers to blackveiw,

Had a replacement unit under warranty as the first one died completely. The replacement unit was fine for a few months until it various issues started to develop including corrupting micro SD cards (even brand new ones bought just for the dashcam) and impact detection getting set off by a light breeze (even on the least sensitive setting) which it never used to do!
