CALLANY Telephone Call Blocker

I'm with the majority on this one. This tiny little device runs off the electricity in your phone line and, so far, mine works perfectly. The other system I was using to block callers was way too time-consuming. This is much, much easier. Says it holds 1,500 calls...YES. I am using this with my OOMA system. Very pleased.

This unit needs work! This unit has many problems in its firmware. It captures numbers that I never selected to 'blacklist' and makes it impossible to remove thereby making it impossible for the people I do want to here from to call me. There are other problems as well.. It freezes about 80% of the time when someone calls requiring me to key my phone to get it to release. It also will not allow you to select 'altered' call numbers where a character string is somehow used instead to represent the source number ( these are used by some unethical sales/? people), thereby eliminating your ability to 'blacklist' them.I was never paid or given this for free so I would put in a 'compliant' message about its usefulness and integrity (it has none!)UPDATE 10/3/2016: The sellers have reimbursed me my original cost even though I was beyond the 30 day period and have assured me that they will fix the errors I have identified to make this a better product. I thank them for their integrity and desire to improve their product.

This is a piece of junk. After having it connected for a few months it shorted out the landline to our telephone. I AM also going to be careful about buying things from Amazon. I received a jar of face cream and some liquid for my face which was supposed to be free gifts from Amazon. When I got my credit card statement there was over $200.00 added to the bill from the company that had the face cream. I called my credit card co. right away and got it taken care of. I am VERY unhappy with Amazon products especially call blocker.Phyllis Dutour

Frustrating to wade through the poorly written instructions ("Chinglish"?) but somehow it worked like gangbusters. Even blocked a nuisance call from an 800 no. that I had not previously entered/blocked.I have not had a single spam phone call in 2 weeks, after having gotten 1-2 per day for nearly a month.

Piece of junk. Directions obviously written by someone who does NOT have a command of the language. That isn't the worst part though. This item just does not work well. My answering machine would no longer record or play messages. Don't waste your money.

I love this little black box. My phone would ring 30 times a day, now maybe once. Allowes you to screen calls, block as needed, does not allow you to save the same number more than once. Fantastic.

This is a great blocker to have if you are a senior who gets lot of unwanted sales calls.
