American Harvester Cider Press & Grinder by Happy Valley

This is a well made cider press, to start out, but now after 4-5 years of use it's not holding up so well. Some of the chrome is flaking off of the axle from the turning wheel to the apple crusher, and the overall unit is getting very wobbly. Every year I need to re-tighten all of the bolts, but this hyear I've noticed that the unit doesn't get as steady as it has in the past couple of years, and nowhere near as steady as it was when I first assembled it. Maybe it's me? Anyway, like I said a nice unit, but showing its age.

Solid unit.... disappointed in resulting apple pulp maceration, lots of wasted potential juice.Used 5 to 1 mineral oil to beeswax finish, melted and painted on all surfaces, happy with results.
