These Nifty Little Things Keep Your Pocket Wizards Safe and Secure!
I have seen many photographers including myself hang the pocket wizards by the lanyard on the light stands. Its effective and cheap however when moving stands they sway back and forth and over time can cause dents, scratches, and even a few drops. If your reading this review then you probably already have a pocket wizard setup and you know they are not cheap! So protect them by securing them to light stands with this caddy! Just be sure to pick the proper one. Hildozine makes a caddy for the Plus II and the Plus III.I can verify 100% that the plus II caddy works on the plus III pocket wizard, however its not the proper one and doesn't look right. This unit is the Plus II caddy. These caddy units tightly lock the pocket wizard to any light stand. The pocket wozard can still slide up and down the stand no problem and is easily removed. These are must have units for any strobist photographer, or pro that has pocket wizards. The only downfall is it screws into the back of the pocket wizard and you cannot access the battery tray until its removed, other than that its amazing! You must grab a few of these.I hope this was helpful. If you want to check out more reviews check out my youtube channel.Corey BenoitFaymus Mediafaymusmedia.comyoutube.com/[email protected]

Nice for a speedlight, but not necessary in the studio. Not worth the money.
I bought a pair of these for some PocketWizards I use in my studio. Over time the elasticity wears out on the straps and you cannot open the battery compartment while this is attached.I find these most useful to attach a PocketWizard to a speedlight but in the studio, the straps that come included with your PocketWizard work well enough.Nice idea but not really worth the price.

One Star
These barely hold up my pocketwizards. I am constantly worried about my flash units being dropped.

Hildozine Caddy -- An invaluable accessory
When I did a studio shoot in So. Cal. a few months ago, I noticed this accessory being used to secure a Pocket Wizard II to a light stand. I knew right then that this would be something for me since I always saw the Wizard hanging from studio lights. For something as expensive as the Pocket Wizard II, I knew that purchasing the caddy would be an insurance of sorts for the Wizard. The price is reasonable and it's easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish they would have the elastic straps wider apart when it wraps around the Wizard so it's not in the way of the "on/off" switch. I highly recommend it.

Great product and idea.
As all the other reviews state this is a great product. I am using it for my plus II's. The plus IIs screw simply screws into the threaded port on the caddy and you wrap the elastic cord around the light stand pole and connect on the other side. I did not attach to a flash. I feel more secure with it on the caddy then it hanging by the pocketwizard lanyard or Velcro. When moving the stand around the caddy does not move as opposed to the PW on the lanyard swinging into the pole. Plus the caddy can be adjusted up and down. Velcro keeps you stuck (pun intended) in the same location.

Hildozine Tranceiver Caddy
The Hildozine Tranceiver Caddy is perfectly matched for my Pocket Wizard Plus II Tranceivers. Provides the user with options to quickly and easily mount Pocket Wizard Tranceiver "piggy back style" onto the head of a speedlight or onto the light stand post using a small bungie cord. The Hildozine Caddy adds a little thickness to the Tranceiver when attached, so I had to detach the caddies from my Pocket Wizard Plus II Tranceivers in order to store the Tranceivers in their Pocket Wizard soft cases. The Pocket Wizard soft cases are tightly fitted to each Tranceiver leaving no room for add-on devices like the Hildozine caddy.

Cracking
This little gadget is the perfect accompaniment to the Pocket Wizard. Not only does it look professional but couldnt be easier to use, giving you much more comfort knowing your product is securely attached. I always felt that the velcro option was a poor one, this is the way to go.

Perfect for Pocket Wizard Plus 2 if using with a light stand
If you have a Pocket Wizard Plus 2 and want to trigger a flash head, or small strobe, attached to a light stand then this plastic interface is well worth considering. It's superficially a bit of moulded plastic with a stout rubber band. It's nothing one couldn't engineer oneself with gaffer tape, string and/or a bit of Velcro tape more cheaply. I know I have already done that and will continue to play at being "Heath Robinson" from time to time. But that's not the point as this is a much more elegant solution. For a bit of plastic it's superficially expensive but benefits from being a good design - it just looks so much better, professional and works better that Heath Robinson got sacked! The module screws into the PW via the ¼ inch Whitworth socket, making the whole assembly effectively a slightly fatter Pocket Wizard trigger. It has a vertical half round indentation on the rear that just fits perfectly against an extended lighting stand. The elastic cable then wraps around the stand and loops back onto a moulded clip. This results in a quick, easy, effective, good looking way to attach the trigger. It certainly beats hanging the PW unit via the connection cord (not recommended). Prior to this I used to either use the PW nylon hand cord to secure or a plastic cable tie if I needed greater security. The only minor criticism is that it's relatively easy to remove (advantageous in many situations) so not very secure against possible theft or casual interference if left unattended. For most that won't be a problem and if it is then using an additional nylon cable tie is still an option.Beware though, PW Plus 2's are now superseded by a newer unit so this model is really only of merit for existing PW 2 owners

A really useful widget
I've got three of these for my studio and portable flashguns. Much better than leaving them dangling from stand knobs by the wrist straps which come with the wizards. While Pocket Wizards are pretty robust they don't take kindly to repeatedly getting knocked and blown off stands and as they don't come cheap a few quid on a proper attachment is well worth it. These little widgets keep them securely fixed to light stands or any other bit of tubing, they screw on and off easily and stay put even if the stand doesn't!
