## Overview

The Silverstone Milo 9 ML09B is a premium 7-liter Mini-ITX case designed for professionals craving a compact yet powerful build. Featuring a mirror-finish front panel, it supports Mini-ITX motherboards, SFX power supplies, and dual-slot low-profile graphics cards. With built-in 120mm and optional 80mm fans, plus space for four 2.5-inch drives, it balances style, cooling, and expandability in a sleek footprint perfect for gaming, multimedia, or HTPC setups.

## Description

The ML09 is an evolution and variation of the premium Mini-ITX HTPC case, the Milo ML06. With external dimension unchanged at 7 liters, the ML09 rearranged internal layout provides a crucial second expansion slot for support of more powerful low-profile discrete graphics card or expansion card that are two slots wide. For users that wish to build with a more robust GPU or tuner card in console/DVR-like form factor to game or for multimedia content recording, the ML09 is a great starting point.

Review: ML09B is about as small as you can get for an ITX system with 2-slot GPU - This is for the ML09B (I really wish all these reviews for different cases weren't listed together). Pros: * Well-constructed steel case. Edges are smooth and panels are a decent strength. * Fits a dual-slot GPU along with 2x 80mm fans if you remove the fans from the GPU, which I did for my 1050TI since the tiny fans that came with it were extremely loud. Note that all the 1050TI cards I've seen have an angled bracket for the DVI port that blocks a regular 25mm-thick fan in one of the fan mount points. You would need a thin 80mm fan to fit there. * Fits a Noctua NH-L12 heat sink if the top bracket is removed. This decreases the stability of the top panel in that area but I don't expect people to put a lot of weight on top of the ventilation holes. * Decent amount of space around the mobo for wire routing. Cons: * It would be nice if the USB ports were front-facing on the opposite side of the case and the drive cage were smaller. That way you'd have more space for the GPU and easier cable routing next to the PSU. * The plastic front panel collects dust easily.. * Stupidly bright blue LEDs.
Review: Small, but Oddly Configured - This case is small but not tiny - about the size of a first generation Xbox One. Mine arrived with a busted screen filter, but the seller was happy to send a replacement after I contacted them. This case is smaller than most, but still large enough to fit some capable mini ITX components. No adjustments were needed to fit the following: Corsair SF450 power supply, Gigabyte H370n WiFi motherboard, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Low Profile graphics card The biggest issue I have with this case is that it seems to be upside down. When lying flat (as opposed to upright) the USB ports are on the left side of the box. This might make more sense for someone building a home entertainment box, but it's nonsensical for adding peripherals like a mouse that tend to be used on the right side of the machine. Heck, if you're left handed, this box might be perfect for you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ML09B: Excellent case for the price, one or two caveats
*by N***R on November 2, 2018*

Pros: Excellent build quality, easy installation, good price, very versatile for a HTPC case. Cons: Not ideal for building a silent system, sub-optimal placement of optical drive bracket. Silverstone's Milo series has some of the only cases that can accommodate a serious dual-slot low-profile GPU, leaving room for more than adequate storage media without going over ~7 litres in capacity. The most glaring limitation is that the space for an optical drive hangs right over the face of the motherboard, which means if you add an OD you would block airflow for the CPU and have to use a low-profile CPU cooler. You're also pretty much limited to a SFX PSU or smaller (I used a pico). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this if you're building a high-powered home-theatre or even SFF gaming PC, so long as you don't mind the above limitations. My only real wish personally is that the ML09B had at least an optional mod aimed at heat dissipation, because my aim was to build a silent, fanless system (Streacom and HDplex make better-suited cases for that, except they're much more expensive and less GPU-friendly). I used Arctic's Alpine passive heatsink on a 35w cpu (ditching the included case fan), but had to switch off intel turbo boost so it would never overheat. If Silverstone were to offer an optional replacement cover for the case which included inner heat-pipes and external heat-fins, I would happily spend more for that, and consider the case absolutely perfect for my needs.
