It is fairly nice, possibly best quality vs. price ratio
The size of the entire bottle is a couple of mm wider than a standard water bottle, and an inch taller. Is is a nice shape that fits well into most cup or bottle holders. It is a bit lighter than an actual thermos, and did not leak while I used it. I gave it a week or two for the new smell to wear off. It mostly comes from the silicon part of the cap. There is still a light smell, but no unusual taste. I put boiling hot water in it and the thermos kept it hot for about 6-8 hours. I don't own a thermometer at the moment, so that's the best description I can give. Insulated bottles generally keep thing cold for longer periods than hot, so it would probably be cold for 8-10 hours. The only plastic components are the very bottom of the bottle and parts of the cap. I would not brew any ground coffee with the filter since that can drain through, but using tea is fine. You should not put the tea leaves above the filter since there is not much space between that and the cap screwed on, instead place them in the bottle and let the filter stop the leaves from getting out.The finish is not smooth/soft matte as can be seen in the picture and glare. The finish is like coated metal. The two bottles are from different companies (the blue one is the one reviewed). It is hard to find a nice insulated bottle at this price, but this fits the bill. I am pretty happy with it and the price. for perhaps another 5-10 dollars you can get something nicer, but this will do the job. I don't know in what circumstance you would want to drink something 8 hours later.
