Works for Directv genie minis on older TVs with no HDMI ports
This is exactly what I needed. My Samsung developed a huge horizontal line right through the middle of the screen. I didn't want to buy a new tv at this time. I had an older Sanyo with no HDMI port and wasn't able to hook my DTV genie up to it. I went to Walmart (ugh) the guy working there told me the only alternative was to order a $50 converter online and proceeded to try and sell me a tv... or a new streaming device-smh. After some research I ordered this. Less than $7 and 2 days later, I was watching tv.

HDMI port not functioning properly
My HDMI port is not working. Tv had a pink screen and no volume. Component cable gave me another option. TV working fine with component cable.

Does not work
I needed a component cable to hook up components to a new little TV I bought for my bedroom. I ordered one of the few 10-pin component cables I could find on Amazon. It happened to be the DIRECTV H2510PIN, subject of this review.Upon receipt, I went to hook up the TV and the component cable did not work. I don't know what's wrong with it, but the TV did not pick any signal on that source. Absolutely nothing... So I grabbed the component cable from my living room TV, and it worked flawlessly.Unable to find the appropriate component cable in our small town, I went to the cable company. They gave me a new component cable for free.The DIRECTV component cable only cost $5+, so it's not worth returning or going through the hassle of exchanging. I'll just throw it away and make sure I never buy anything from DIRECTV ever again. Burn me once... Well, you get it.
