Flat Swivel, 1" Thick

the bearing in our not so old tall chair almost completely broke because a ball separator was made of a cheap plastic. Repairing it was not worth time and effort. I looked up for a replacement part and this one caught my eye. The price seemed to be right and a few customer reviews were quite positive.The vendor delivered this swivel as promised. Out of the box the swivel is very tight and this is good. i installed it and it works perfectly well. There was only one problem with installation. The holes on the swivel did not exactly matched bolt locations and I had to use a round file to extend the holes. However, it is difficult to say whether this mismatch happened because the holes in the swivel are not long enough or because the chair was manufactured by a cheap work force. I believe that the latter is the real reason why I has to make this slight adjustment (about 1/8" in each of 8 holes)I would recommend this product. It's good

I had never shopped for anything like this before, but needed to replace a busted swivel on a chair I got for free. Compared to other offerings from different websites, this was by far the best. It seemed like other places were charging at least twice as much for swivels with ball bearings. The chair I didn't have to fix has a plate without bearings, and there's a significant difference. It seems really well made, and like it will last for a long time. I didn't see any way really of disassembling it to re-grease the bearings or anything, but I suspect that won't be much of an issue unless the chair is in a really dirty environment.

We have a beautiful Lane, leather rocker, recliner that lost "it's ball bearings" all over the floor one night. I thought we had to buy a new one. My husband suggested we try you first. When yours arrived we realized how much better it was built, than the original. It was so heavier, the bearing were smoother, and it fit the old (attachment) holes perfectly. You gave us a better chair and saved us $1,100 for a new one. The only question is: What can I do with 50 ball bearing in a mayo jar?Thank you for making such a good product.MW

When I got this in the mail, I couldn't swivel it with my hands. I could see the ball bearings and grease in there, but it was two tough to spin. The instructions say to put it on the ground and stand on it, then swivel it around. Yeah, that worked well. Now I can spin it by hand, and plan to use it on a stool I am building. This thing is built strong and will not let you down.

Seems to be working fine although we don't sit in them very often so I can't give you a timeline on longevity and performance. Gave it 4 stars on price alone. Would have liked them more for a cheaper price!

Very clunky and did not handle the weight well

This did the trick for my swivel chair. The old swivel had fallen apart and this one was the fix. It doesn't seem to swivel at all in your hands but once on the chair, it has a nice smooth turn. Easy to install.
