Food is either life-saving or potentially heart-clogging. The Weigh of Life Nutrition Scale wasnt approved haphazardly by the JDRF it keeps you informed of ALL the food you eat. Know the difference and compare: This breakthrough nutritional technology contains the nutritional values of 1,000 different foods uploaded from the latest US government nutrition database. Yes, it weights your food, calculates total calories, fiber, protein, and carbohydrate grams. And yes it sums up cholesterol, saturated fats, and sodium intake. It also weighs your food and automatically accounts for any container or wrapper weight. Unlike other nutrition scales: Weigh of Life actually calculates sugar grams, gives bread equivalents, and fat calories too. It stores and recalls daily nutrient intake for up to four individuals. And very important: it displays all nutrient values together so that you dont have to calculate anything yourself. Included: 2 AA batteries and 10" dishwasher, freezer, microwave-safe plate. Measures 6.75" x 9.5" x 2.1".

Amazingly accurate and relatively easy to use once you fool with it for a few minutes ie ounces or grams. I really used it a lot when I was trying to lose a few pounds and now I pretty much can judge how many calories a food product has without even weighing or looking it up. And, let's face - weight is all about caloric intake. Our bodies are amazingly efficient at using calories i.e. 1 small apple is good for several miles of walking. This is a good way to get a handle on how many calories your taking in - even good food can be fattening in wrong amounts.

had this may be10years, use it several times a week. will use it till it dies
Great product! Works: tells cal, carb, fat, sugar, protein bread exchanges and weight in grams or ozs. easy to keep clean. I cook large batches of food and divide up servings and weigh each and mark the data on the bag and freeze it. little hungry or very hungry, I know just what to grab from the freezer. works great for weighing cards and letters for the postal service as well. wish they had codes for healthy trendy foods too. they only have a code for one bread and that wheat bread.
