I was having a lot of septic smell outside my house. The exhaust pipe is just an open pipe sticking out of the roof. It’s a tiny house, so being so small the smell was pretty much surrounding us.In my head I was picturing a carbon filter with a cover over it but had never seen anything like that. Surprisingly when I started looking I found this product that is exactly what I was picturing!It is super simple to install, slide on, couple of twists with a flat head, done.I put it on about a month ago and have not smelled anything since. I believe it said to replace the filter about once a year so it will take some time to see if that is true. But as of now I would definitely recommend this product!

I waited a couple months to review this after purchase to be sure it works & it does! I am not a fan of heights but this was very easy to put on my stink pipe & tighten (my house is a 2 story Cape so the stink pipe is very low on the roof line). It has eliminated most of the odor since I installed it, only on very rare occasions do I slight whiff of something stinky when before installing this filter I could smell stink constantly. I'm taking it down once the weather gets colder as recommended & hoping to not have to replace the charcoal filter inside for a couple years.

Smells were completely gone for 2 weeks after installed, however they slowly came back and now 6 weeks later all original odors are still persistent.We do have an aerobic septic system which forces some air out of the vent stack pipe, so maybe this caused the filter to wear out faster?

Works like a charm. Took care of septic smell around outside of house. Easy to install. I should have removed the sticker as it is noticeable on the roof. I was able to turn so u do not see the big white sticker on one of them but the other one will always be visible no matter which direction it is turned.
