They have a regular 3.5 mm input and came with little black foam protectors for each earbud for comfort.. I was previously using some over the ears headphones but after a few hours they made my entire head hurt. These earbuds are perfect, fit great, don't hurt my ears or my head. They sound good listening to music and also podcasts/speaking. The wire is very small, thin, and easily maneuverable....not STIFF so it moves around when I do without getting stuck/snagged. Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend for anyone who wants and needs this old school type wired 1/8 inch speaker earbuds! *mind the cat hair that is already stuck to the foam..its inevitable in my house with two cats!

**Q: How many contacts are there in the plug? Is it a three or four contacts one?**
A: if you're asking: how many rings there are on the actual male 3.5mm plug there are two for stereo sound. would be three for something like a built in mic. I don't think I ever seen more than that.1 for mono 2 for stereo etc. this has 2. no built in mic or anything. anyway, I love these earphones. they put out real good sound for the price and they are sooo lightweight.
