Review: gotta buy another one... - the first cd wallet of this magnitude i ever bought- was the fellowes one. (my review is in there somewhere) I have two of these case logic wallets now (i bought one on sale @ desertcart and my friend sent me one from my wish list). I'm ordering a THIRD case logic case because they withstood hurricane Rita... well... actually there wasn't much of a hurricane in Houston - BUT i did have to lug all of three of my 320 cd wallets around during the evacuation. (house to car to 2nd floor apartment to car to house) both brands are made well- neither of them broke during the evacuation- which is amazing seeing as how- with all my cd's and dvd's inside each wallet weighs 17 to 18 lbs. I have decided to purchase another case logic cd case- for many reasons... 1. The Fellowes is made well- but you can't take pages out and organize them. The case logic case- you can- it's a pain in the butt though- especially if you want to change a section in the very back... but it's still nice to have the option- and still way better than having to move the cd's out of the sleeves. 2. The Fellowes is made well- but the construction doesn't have as much heft to it as the case logic. when both are empty and you're holding one in each hand- the case logic is a little heavier. the case logic- has nicer smoother nylon feeling fabric- rather than the coarse canvas fellowes. the case logic's has more seam reinforcement. the fellowes has a little bit more padding- but i don't really see how it makes any difference in protecting the media inside. 3. both are difficult to zip- and i'll probably have to rub soap or wax on both brands eventually---- but the thin fabric on the fellowes makes it REALLY hard to zip- where as the case logic - has more hefty fabric which instead of moving with the zipper pull- it stays in place. 4. the binder like quality of the case logic- allows you to use this case frequently without fear of damaging or ripping out pages- ie... flipping around for half an hour trying to figure out what dvd you want to watch. i keep cd's in the fellowe's one- because it's just for storage. (I highly recommend the 4gb ipod nano opposed to the 2gb fyi) i would NEVER get a fellowe's to house my dvds. These two case logics get thrown around a lot... literally because they're heavy. the pages get smacked around- back & forth, back & forth... they've taken a lot of abuse and that is why this case get's a 5 star rating. i know if i used the fellowes case for my dvd's that thing would have been broken after the first month. That is, one answer says 8 CDs per sheet (4 x 2 sides), and the other says 4 (2 x 2)...?** A: First, if you have a Case Logic that is dying, CL has a lifetime warranty. Go to their webpage, free replacement. Ok. There are 3 basic page capacity designs with Case Logic. The "single disc", "double disc" and "quad disc". Like a coin or a piece of paper there are 2 sides to each page in the books. Single disc = 1 disc per side of the page, thus holding 2. Double disc = 2 discs per side of the page, thus holding 4. Quad disc = 4 discs per side of the page, thus holding 8. So, for a 208 disk book there are 26 pages. Each page will hold 8 discs, with 4 on the front of the page and 4 on the flip side of the page. Hint for purchase: stick with the 208 -216 -ish sized books, or smaller, if you get into them a lot. Also look for the ring binder style if you open them a lot. 1. Because the ring binder pages are replaceable if they ever come out. 2. When flipping through 26+ pages they are thick. After halfway through the book, the "sewn" in pages will not allow easy removal or inserting of the discs. Also, the sewn pages seem to have somewhat smaller sleeves for the discs, making 8 disc storage impossible. They won't fit. 3. Anything larger than 208-ish is going to get heavy, fast. 4. The ring binder style books are a better, sturdier quality. 14 years later and out of 14 books ( 72ct and 208ct) only 3 have ever needed replacing. 1 because the zipper broke, 2 because a page hole broke. All replaced free of charge from Case Logic. I stick with the brands higher end cases **Q: How strong are the two wide thin plastic pieces holding the pages into the booklet? Will they break after a year or two of use?** A: I haven't had it very long, and it will only get occasional use. However, these pieces strike me as nearly unbreakable. They are very flexible. I think they'd have to be flexed many times to break. **Q: Apparently Case has given two products the same id number (CDW208). I need to be sure these inserts hold 8 cd's to a page, not 4.** A: The CDW208 holds 8 CD's per page. 4 on each side. **Q: Is there room for the cd and the insert in each slot????** A: No, it doesn't have a slot for the cd/dvd insert.
