If i am wanting to use this grip as a shifter handle, how can i mount and could it be wired to control different things? (Like a radio)

I’m a not sure you can use it to control other things, the grip is designed to be connected to a PC and it requires Thrustmaster’s proprietary software (T.A.R.G.E.T.) to in order to operate.

Why does this look like the warthog joystick, unless the usaf uses the same joystick?

Both the A10 and F16 use the same grip IRL. Interestingly, the F-117 Stealth Fighter also uses this same grip IRL.

Can you use it for a car gear shifter?

I doubt it without serious modifications, the bottom has a proprietary electrical connector surrounded by a threaded collar that is completely different to an automotive threaded shifter shaft.

Utilisation atypique mais résultats excellents

Joystick initialement prévu pour simulateur, que j’utilise dans un vrai avion (Rutan Long-EZ). Les boutons, utilisés pour la radio, sont d’une excellente qualité et ne montrent aucun jeu ou autre après un an d'utilisation. La rigidité de l’ensemble inspire confiance même en conditions réelles.

Awesome stick

If you are buying thrustmaster's F18 or F16(A10) stick, you pretty much have the enough money to go for a better experience than the thrustmasters' base can offer. The stick itself is just flawless, beautiful and awesome. But if you are going with the base. It's bad. The base has a super strong spring inside that makes your control super hard and not precise. You have to sawp out the spring in order to make it feel smoother and the spring cost $50. the base + $50 spring + time to fix the base = Virpil WarBRD. But Virpil WarBRD is just so much better and literally effortless. Thrustmaster sticks + Virpil bases = The dream flight simulation experience.
