This book is incredibly helpful to anyone doing historical or family history research in Europe. Country boundaries changed often and these maps will help the researcher understand the country boundaries during specific years.

Warto kupić jeśli jesteś zainteresowany mapami historycznymi z okresu 1700-1900. Mapy są podzielone krajami jednak format tej już dużej książki powinien być jeszcze większy lub mapy bardziej powiększone i rozbite na kilka stron. W obecnym wydaniu większość map trzeba czytać z lupą.

A useful reference book when doing historical research. A few things to note about the book:1) The older maps sometimes provide place names that have fallen into obscurity, as well they might contain alternative spellings that provide possibilities for additional research.2) The book is hefty in size being over 12 inches by 12 inches in dimensions, but unfortunately some of the maps still require a magnifying glass to read. Due to the shape of some regions being displayed this is an unavoidable problem.3) Having multiple maps of the same area over the span of different decades is very helpful.

I got this book to help me see what Europe and other countries were like in other years. I can see what a country looked like when my ancestors loved there. I love genealogy and got very excited to be able to see what Poland and Hungry looked like when my great grandparentsloved there...
