Good information
Simply stated valuable information & tips for PCOS sufferers. Highly recommend. Easy to read and understand. Clear descriptive discourse on a puzzling disorder.
T**T
A lot of conflicting information from what doctors, endocrinologists, and most importantly Registered Dietitions have told me.
This book is simple to read, I finished it in under two hours, but it contains lists of food recommendations including a lot of things people with PCOS shouldn't eat. There is a list of low GI foods which starts with Banana bread. Banana bread is made with sugar, white flour, bananas (which have 3 types of naturally occurring sugar) there was not any mention of altering recipes or ingredients. The soy section really got me. Soy is a hormone disrupting compound and the molecules are shaped so similarly to estrogen that the soy can replace or block the hormone that we already aren't getting enough of, so why tell me to eat it?I would not recommend this book.
