You know when you need it, and it works for that
wanted to install a new showerpan, but the pipe coming from the cement floor was too short. An OD fitting sleeve wouldn't fit. This was the perfect extension for when you can only reach the inside diameter of the drain pipe

Works as advertised - Cannot find this in big box stores
I had a plumber come in to add a P-trap to my shower drain (long story), but, after purchasing my shower base, I came to realize the drain needed to be 1/2" longer than where he put it. I cut the whole drain off, added this, and got it to exactly where I needed it

Worked great
I was replacing a show and the base of the new shower was an inch higher than the previous base so the Drain pipe was to short. The Magicmend Pipe Extender needed to be cut down a little for a perfect fit. A much easier job than tearing up the floor and replacing the old drain pipe.

Perfect Fit
Bought this to extended a shower drain that was too short and kept slipping. This was the perfect fit and installed really easy. I wish the big box home improvement stores carried these in stock. Took longer than anticipated to receive.

It works. It's pricey
This was exactly what I was looking for to solve a tricky puzzle of a pipe being too short after removing an old fixture. One end of this coupler fits *inside* the pile to be extended. I took off 1 star because there were stickers on it that wouldn't come off. I tried scraping with a razor blade, used alcohol, and finally hit upon the idea of using WD-40 to dissolve the adhesive. That did the trick easily. But I wasted about 20 minutes.

Fixing pool pump with NO extra pipe
Cut the connection off the old pump when I say cut it off I cut it in half then cleaned and glued this inside the pipe to connect the new pump. Pool company would NOT look at it because it is a commercial pool.
