Cambridge International AS and A Level Computer Science Revision Guide

Its good for a reading & one hopes that reader will understand the content without the drill-exercises' answers. This book has no answers to the exercises. How ever the answers is sold separately in a CD which costs more than the Coursebook. I think that its a ripoff from the publisher & the authors. Its no use to private candidate students since the answers to questions in the book are not provided, but the user requires to buy the Teacher's Resource CD that have the answers. Don't buy it.I bought the "Cambridge International AS and A Level Physics" by David Sang, et al & this textbook is excellent. It comes with a CD that have the answers for questions in the textbook.

It is a decent dense overview of the course but the raw amount of mistakes suggests to me that the absolute minimum effort has been put into it. Every chapter I find new mistakes most of which could've easily been solved by a quick proof read. Some of these errors are forgivable like on page 48 in the progress check where the question number goes from 1 to 2 to 3 to 2 however, the amount of time I've wasted because the mark scheme has the wrong answer is stupid. For example, the chapter 1 exam question 2b is taken from a referenced past paper. The real answer which i found by referencing the mark scheme for said past paper is not the same as the one in the answers section of this book which cost me time wasted through needless head-scratching. Another example of a similar mistake is the exam questions section on chapter 4 where the diagram provided for the question doesn't perfectly match the one in the original paper (it reads 150 instead of 203) which would be fine if the answer provided in the answer section was also different however it's not. I just don't understand why so little effort has been put into a product that is 'Cambridge Endorsed'. TL;DR only buy it if there is no other options and be prepared to have to use other methods of checking your answers and not just relying on the answers section at the end.

Es un buen complemento del libro principal. Con ejercicios y explicaciones adicionales para practicar. Como no hay muchos es importante para prepararte para el examen.

Came sooner than expected and in good condition. Really helpful for AS and A level Computer Science.
