## Description

Five Larger Sizes in a Convenient Set Fit 5/8", 11/16", 3/4", 7/8" and 1" (16mm, 18mm, 22mm and 25mm) taps manufactured to M.C.T.I. standards. Ideal for use in restricted areas where a T-handle won’t fit.

Review: Works great as part of my tap extension setup - Many parts in my shop must be hand tapped as the CNC's spindle cannot fully extend into certain crevices and areas of the parts we manufacture. I put this socket on the tap, add an extension I made (1/2" square 4140) and use a tap handle. Otherwise, using a pulley tap, or an extended tap handle would be necessary. These methods allow flex and do not allow a good feel and promote tap breakage. These sockets with an appropriate extension work great. They feel solid and they don't slip like a standard socket may. I haven't used them extensively so I can't comment on durability or quality--but so far they've been getting the job done. My coworker used a smaller set I purchased from the same brand with a ratchet to speed up a production job and he raved about how well they worked and what a good buy they were. If the tolerance is tight (which is generally the case on parts that I work on) I will not use a ratchet as I want to apply pressure evenly on both sides while cutting the threads. Wrapping up, these sockets are great. However they are used, with a tap handle or a ratchet, they will do the job that they are meant for. This applies to both Lisle 71670 and 70500. Both have done the job so far.
