This product is great. It really works. I am very allergic to deer flies. I rare but serious allergy that there is no immunotherapy for. I also live in the woods on the water. I have been left with the choice of stay inside or get bit, but this patch has actually prevented bites by trapping the flies. I have had peace of mind at the lake for the first time in years. It does catch your hair though. Ladies tie your hair up tight in a bun. My girls tried it but could not keep it out of their hair, so just I will use it. But that has seemed to be enough to solve my problem.

I love these. Have been using them for 10+ years. I first saw them at a horse event in the woods of northwest PA and NY. The rider put them on the horses neck as well as the back of her cap. Talking to her afterward she said she had no bites though the deer fly strips were covered with them. I got some and have been using them ever sinceIt can be a little unnerving hearing all the buzzing from the flys caught on the strips but it sure beats the bites. I recommend them to anyone that spends time outside in deer fly country

Have been using this product for many, many years. Catches deerflies before they bite. Minimizez the swarming and antagonization. I still use insect repellent, but if you know deerflies, you know that's not enough! My record for a 90 minute walk is having caught 86 deerflies on one patch. (Take your hat off before walking into a store or restaurant... the caught flies buzzing draw a lot of attention.

Where I live deerflies are heavy for 2 months of the year. I do not walk out back without one of these on my hat.

When you live in Northern NY. Deer flies are more then a nuisance. They are an invasive pest that are relentless in pursuing a meal. These deer fly patches are one of the few solutions. We use them whenever venturing outdoors.

These things are terrific. I live in the woods of northern Minnesota and exercise every day outside in the summer. There are always about 6-8 weeks between June and July where the deer fly battle rages heavily. Hats, bandanas and a quick hand have always been my defense (with a daily goal to dispatch at least 30) but I was always on the defensive. But those days are over. I started using these a few weeks into the heavy season and would fill one daily. There were a few days where the flies were absolutely crazy and I would literally fill one in about 30 minutes (of a one hour walk). On those days I still had to defend my shoulders, but there were rarely bites on my head. There was little remorse over wrapping up at least 150 flies in my used patch at the end of my battle. The tide has changed in my favor, and i can't wait to use them again next year. Deer flies beware...I'll be back!

They work great

these things work amazingly well for deer flies. unbelievable. my only minor knock is the adhesive that sticks to the hat sometimes won't stay very well depending on the hat so i safety pin it on. i keep a pack in my truck at all times just in case. i give them out as gifts to friends. there is no better alternative for deer flies.just don't forget you have one on and put your hand on the back of your hat to adjust it or you will have sticky fingers.
