Pioneer TS-G1642R 6.5-Inch 2-Way 180-Watt Speaker

I bought these speakers to pair with a pioneer head unit(22w RMS). Four speakers cost me only 50$, which is a steal for how well these perform. The stated low end Hz cutoff is 40, so I set my headunit to cut off beneath 50, and these things work beautifully.Its true the low end is a bit lacking, but the mid-low, mids, and highs are stellar for such an economical speaker! Paired with a decent sub, these speakers will allow you to create a fantastic sounding entry level sound system for very little $. Even without a sub, I now love listening to music in my car again.P.S. These things can crank up very loud without any drop-off in quality, cant recommend them enough.

I chose these speakers to replace the stock ones in the front doors of my '08 Civic. The stockers were only good for talk radio. These Pioneer speakers aren't much better. They have a little more clarity in the upper middle frequencies and a tad more bass. I got my pair of TS-G1642Rs for $33 including shipping. I guess you get what you pay for.

Just installed them last night. They sound a lot better then the old aftermarket speakers that they replaced in our '89 Civic. No fit issues just screwed right in to factory mount. Old aftermarket Kraco deck powers them fine.

If you are an audiophile and think you can hear the difference between MP3 and WMA files... Buy something else. However, if you are a normal person who needs speakers in this size and dont require a lot of bass from your door speakers, then these are just fine.I put them in the doors of my 1995 Suburban. The originals were weathered and in bad shape. These did require drilling a few holes but nothing too hard. They come with screws and clamp style nuts to mount them. They come with some wires and grilles also.They dont sound bad at all, and Im pleased.

i recently installed these in a 2002 Nissan frontier on a kenwood deck (no amp 40 x 4 watts ) not only did the music sound muddy they rattled right off the start so i turned the bass down and made some adjustments and got the rattle to stop then less than a week later the guy comes back and 2 of the speakers are blown!(mind you this guy has been on the railroad for 70+ hours that week so the truck sat most of the time and he is older so i know he wasnt trashing on it in fact he had turned down the eq even more and they were all rattling....its to bad i trusted the pioneer name and assumed they would be of good quality(not this time!) & threw the box's away ....so now i eat the speakers on the bright side i had a set of walmart road gear speaker of the same size and gave them to him and he is happier (the roadgear sound sooo much better than these crappy pioneers )bottom line dont wast you money

better buy a BIG BIG BIG Subwoofer if you plan on buying these.incredible clarity in the mid-high and high ranges butAWFUL AWFUL AWFUL low ranges.states 40hz responsiveness but my stockers that had holes in them would kick harder than these.****************BUY A SUB or DONT BOTHER*********************

First I ordered a pair of Pyle speakers. I received 5 inch speakers instead of 6.5. I sent them back then got the correct ones. Only the correct speakers wouldn't fit even though Amazon said they would. So I sent those back and ordered the Pioneers. The Pioneer speakers fit perfectly and they sound great. I am very happy with these speakers.
