MacDoDo Automatic Stainless steel Spice,Salt,Pepper Mill Set 2 in 1 - Salt and Pepper Grinder Set with Adjustable Ceramic Grinding Mechanism

We bought this to replace a set just like it (different manufacturer). It came without batteries. Not a big deal, but by the time I found time to buy batteries and actually use them, they didn't work and it was too late to return them. I originally gave this product 1 star.HOWEVER, the customer service was stellar, despite my lack of follow up. They wrote me several times to make sure that I was completely satisfied and have since refunded my money and offered to send new ones. Honestly, I have come to NOT expect that kind of customer service anymore, and really appreciate their efforts to make me happy.Maybe I just got a bad set--lots of other customers give this product 5 stars. With the customer service as good as it is, it's definitely worth a shot!

It looks good. The stainless steel looks wonderful and the see through portion adds to its elegant design. However, that's the end of its positive aspect. Functionally, it's not very good. The output of pepper is so slow that it negates the convenience of being able to grind pepper one handed. I bought this so I can sprinkle fresh ground pepper onto whatever I'm preparing or cooking without having to use both hands. But the slowness of the output of pepper makes using this device inconvenient. I have a restaurant grade manual pepper grinder that I went back to using because it just takes a few twist to get the amount of pepper I need compared to 1-2 minutes of waiting (or more) when using this automatic grinder. I just use this as a display at my kitchen counter because it looks good but I am back to using my old one.

I ordered these after reading the great reviews. They worked excellent for the first week, then one of them stopped working. I contacted the seller and they were fabulous to work with. Their primary concern was ensuring I had working grinders, and that I was 100% happy with them. They sent me new grinders and have had no issues since. This is the first time I have had automatic grinders. I cook a lot, and was tired of all the hand grinding needed for some recipes. These rock and love that the grind size is so easy to use, and a plus with the light to see the area grinding on.I would recommend these to anyone interested in automatic grinders!

One unit was slightly dented as though dropped before shipping (the shipping carton showed no damage). One unit was missing a cover plate at the discharge end. Both units wobble slightly at the point where the bottom part connects to the top part. So far (after 2 months of use), both units are performing acceptably. We like the light feature in particular.

Was excited to get these but have issues getting the pepper grinder to even work. It tries but won't spin, light comes on and at times the, salt grinder does the same thing. Can't send them back by hubby threw everything out before we even used them. No where to contact seller, just would like pepper grinder replaced, (hopefully)

They are slow and weak, also waste batteries. I rather use a manual one. Now they are lying in my drawers.

Salt grinder works very well. The pepper grinder seems under powered.
