Horizons Pre Algebra Math 7 Box Set

I had used all the previous lesson through Sonlight, but Sonlight did not include the Pre-Alg. I was concerned that this was so new and unrated; but I am thrilled that we ordered it. My son has done very well. This course is so much more than pre-Alg. It have geometry and more. We had a math teacher from our local high school tell us that the math this course included was more advanced than her Algebra 1 students in 9th grade. I highly recommend this course. Thank you Horizon for continuing on from book 6.

My daughter is home schooling her 5 children and loves this set. She said it is not as easy to adjust to the format as some other teaching aids, but once she became familiar with it, she had no problem. She says that it goes beyond all other teaching materials, has made vast improvements in understanding material and not only gives the answers but explains the method for arriving at the solutions. She highly recommends the Horizons learning materials.

What can I say? My child has used this math for 7 years and always scores in the top 90th percentile in math on standardized test and doesn't hate math. We are happy with Horizons. It's also very user friendly and clear with short explanations that make sense.

This was awful. I felt they jumped from on thing on to the next without adequate practice of the math concepts. We returned it after a frustrating month of trying to use it.

I love Horizon math I have been using it for many years!!! My kids learn so much and it teaches them where they understand it.

We have used other, more expensive curriculum, but Horizons has really impressed us! It moves at a good pace, explains the lessons well, and has a practical amount of practice problems. There are extra problems in the teacher's guide for additional practice. My 11 yo is definitely getting a thorough understanding of per-algebra and the beginning stages of algebra.

My 7 year old son is gifted and really loves math, especially advanced math. These are a great books to teach with. It's user friendly being in workbook format. There's so much involved in this program, very high quality. I most definitely will purchase more levels in the future!
