Few bands knock it out of the park on their first go, and even when Running Wild shifted into INVENTING pirate metal in 1987, "Under Jolly Roger" wasn't a knock-out, even in its title track.No, if you want the apex of Running Wild at their creative zenith? This album right here. 13 tracks of unapologetic pirate hammercraft with the smooth, crisp production quality to sheathe the biting edge of Cap'n Rolf's signature sound. BUY IT.

RUNNING WILD have been on the European metal scene as long as I can remember. They put out a number of great albums which outmatches the efforts on this album. The album has a couple of songs that merits being mentioned "Ballad of William Kidd" being one of them.

A Great Overlooked 80's metal Band
Simply put, this Running Wild produces great 80's styled heavy metal. I recently discovered this band and can't believe I hadn't heard of them before. I missed out. I found myself listening to this CD, and their others, over and over again. If you like great traditional 80's heavy metal then do yourself a favor and check out this band and get this CD.

Excellent CD.
Until recently I had never heard of the band, suppose I must have lead a sheltered life. As per my previous reviews, I love my rock music. I finally got into this band due to a recommendation by YouTube and Amazon. The only slight draw back to this CD is some of the tracks seem to have the vocals mixed quite low, but with a lot of music you soon get used to it, please don't let this put you off, I soon got used to it. My favourite track is the last song called "War and Peace". The CD cost me Les than £7, Taking everything into account I would place this in my top 20 CDs or all time. Yes it is that good.
