Fat Cat, Classics Crackler Cat Toy, Assorted

As other reviewers have mentioned, these don't flip my cat's whiskers at all. She looks at them, walks away, and returns to her favorite game of scaring my dog. (She also doesn't like catnip, which is why she's named Nancy..."Just say no!") In the past, they were super fragrant, very crackly, and no cat could resist them; I think the company has been bought by a larger one (Munchkin, inc.?), and perhaps the quality of the product has suffered, which is a real shame.HOWEVER! I do have a reason for a five-star review!My dog LOVES these! He's a 45 pound blue heeler mix, and he has a quirk of carrying toys, bones, sticks, socks, you name it, everywhere he goes. And these toys are his favorite! He's sleeping on my feet as I write this, the little orange lizard placed right next to his nose. I buy these for him, since he doesn't tear them up like larger toys, and frankly it's hysterical to watch him trot around with these teeny toys clamped ever-so-gently in his teeth. So maybe they're a bomb where my cat is concerned, but Taite gives them an enthusiastic four paws, one ear and one tail up!

There isn't much to the lizard. To be fair, I haven't given it to my cat yet. Compared to my old crackler toy from the same company, this one has no crackle noise. I doubt my cat will play with it often as there's not much to grab and kick at.I will update this review with my cat's opinion in a couple days. :)

They're a little smaller than I expected but the cat doesn't seem to mind.

I really do have replacement chipmunks ready in the wings, as they can go walkabout for a few weeks. And one lizard. Amusingly, chipmunks are his favorite prey (sorry) and these are his main favorite toys. I keep them in a plastic tupperware box that has catnip in it, to refresh them. His original Crackler chipmunk is six years old, and still going strong. It’s a little faded from my washing it, but it still looks in excellent condition and not all raggy or popping its seams.

I ordered these to replace an old Kitty Hoots crackle toy. I got three of them but if you are looking for a toy with a good crackle, walk on by. The old one that my cat loves has a lot of the crackle stuff inside. It made a lot of noise. These barely crackle --nothing like the old one I have. Kitty was not impressed.

Other sellers were offering a much cheaper price for 1 however when I saw this offer I thought I was getting 3 toys for $3 more. Boy was I wrong. I only received the turtle and it wasn't even the one I liked out of the 3. This cat toy was a joke; it was so small, my kittens have ignored it completely. Don't waste your money.

My kitties don't really play with this one. Usually Fat Cat toys are the best, however, this one didn't crackle near as much as their older version.

The photo shows three toys. You only get one toy for the price. That is the reason for the 3 stars. It is misleading... the toy itself is great!

It shows that you receive 3 toys and advertised assorted toys, but I only received one toy. Will I be receiving the other 2 shortly? Until I do, I unfortunately won't be able to give a good review. Pretty disappointing.
