Spasilk Satin Pillowcase for Hair and Face – Queen/Standard, King – Satin Hair Pillow – Beauty Pillowcases

I bought this pillowcase to prevent wrinkles/sleep lines.As many other reviewers have noticed, the description is a little misleading. It's not silk and while you can call it "silky," it is still just shiny polyester.I haven't had any issues with the pillowcase coming off. One reviewer suggested a zipper, which would be nice, but the pillowcase does have a 6" pocket that comes over the top of the pillow (see pictures) so it is not wide open. Understandably, if you are a violent sleeper, you might want to sew a button on it, but I think for most people it will stay on just fine.I washed it before use and it has been laundered twice since. This material type is prone to snags and fraying but I haven't had it long so it is holding up thus far.And after several washes, it still has that slight plastic/chemical/whatever fragrance that is always very strong when you first purchase something like this.This might be part of my problem. While my hair has been noticeably less crazy in the morning (read: less volume for those of us with fine or thin hair), I'm a little concerned about what it is doing to my skin. I can't be certain what triggered the reaction, so I won't say it is this pillowcase, but some irritant in my life caused my face to turn red and burn. Here is the surprising thing: against sensitive skin, this fabric is horrible. I can't exactly explain it because when you touch it, it feels smooth, but trust me, if you get a sunburn or a chemical peel or anything that irritates your face, don't sleep on this pillowcase. I ended up switching back to my old soft wrinkle-maker cotton pillowcase. Maybe it hurts because you slide more? I really don't know.Bottomline: I think this is a great pillowcase for the price if you have issues with your hair being tangled or frizzy and it comes in a variety of colors which is fun. This would also be ideal for someone that sleeps on their back as your skin won't be touching it. If you want to get something to help with wrinkles, I would probably go for something more of the "organic" or "natural" variety.You can't always tell if a product will work based on price because there are inexpensive things that work and expensive things that don't... but this is inexpensive and cheap (quality).

Great deal for a curly girl like me who didn't want to break the bank!My hairdresser had been touting the benefits of silk/satin pillowcases for curly hair. I decided I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Imagine my surprise when I saw the cost of silk pillowcases!I came across this pillowcase and decided to try it out. Thank goodness I did! Curly girls: this is a must! Second and third day hair still looks and feels as great as day one after sleeping on this pillowcase!After having this for a while now, I feel confident in saying this is a durable pillowcase. The material has held up just fine through multiple washes and daily use. It still feels silky and smooth. I have found it to be wrinkle resistant, which my OCD personality really likes. The case is designed with a fold over (almost like a pocket) end, meaning your pillow does not and can not slide out the end! I have had no trouble with it sliding off the bed overnight, either.Overall, I would recommend this pillowcase to anyone in the market for one! It's of great quality, looks fantastic, and is super gentle on your hair and face overnight!

Defiantly not 100% silky satin as advertised, but a stuffer more plasticky feel. Color is also quite a bit different.

This is a nice pillowcase. I've only slid off the bed once so far, the pillowcase did stay in place however.

So to my surprise this pillow case is amazing. It’s soft and oh so nice to lay my head on. I’ve noticed less creases in my face from the regular pillow case. Let’s be honey I’m 39 and use face cream like crazy. I should take stock in anti wrinkle cream bc I have about 5 kinds. I decided to give this a try bc I do in fact lay on my left side and noticed fine lines from the regular pillow case. I would try about anything at this point to avoid aging lines. :) I will say this is a product that I love so if your thinking of trying it DO. Can’t bet it for the price. Who doesn’t want a silky soft pillow case to lay on?

I got this to protect my hair from the friction of cotton at night. I'm a tosser/turner and this helped. As for the pillow case, I got the pink and it has not bled color, gotten splotchy, etc. The material is not particular thick or luxurious, but it's not flimsy either. It is not and does not appear to be expensive, but it's a good bit better quality than what one might see of a cheap set of X amount of thread count "Egyptian cotton" sheets you would find at Big Lots or Fred's.

I expected these to be a little softer but hey, I can't afford to buy actual silk pillowcases, so I gave these a try, and they are okay. I got them because I'd read that silk pillowcases can help with acne, and I liked that these came as a 2-pack, so I could change my pillowcase frequently between laundry days. I haven't bought other satin pillowcases so I can't compare to other brands - maybe all my complaints about these would apply to any brand, so I'm rating these a 4/5.

I thought this pillowcase would look more like the picture but it looks kinda dull and cheap. Plus side It’s really soft and does its purpose as a pillowcase for my toddler/travel pillow.*UPDATE* I’m probably going to return this. I can’t stand how it feels on my face. I can’t explain it but it feels awful!!!
