UPDATE: I'm not taking a star away however I did have a problem where I could not wear shorts for a day. In one of the pictures from another review, someone had a problem with strange patches of lost color. That happened to me and it was noticeable. It seemed to be on parts of my legs that see friction regularly, the inner/back of my calves and inner side of my knees. from crossing my legs maybe. I tried to do a patch job but it was unsuccessful. I decided to try and start from the beginning. With a body brush and body scrub I went to town on my legs which removed enough color that what was left was negligible. Threw on a couple coats, slept in it and everything is fine again. I probably got lazy with moisturizing and I think I'm going to do a start-from-scratch routine weekly. I'm not taking a star bc it was such a fast and easy fix.*Full disclosure*I did not follow the directions. It says to rinse off after an hour, or for stronger color leave it on for 4 hours...I had it on probably close to 20ish hours. I slept in it. There was no color transfer in the morning but I have grey sheets. And when I did rinse, the excess washed offSo far I'm in love. This has performed exactly as I hoped it would. I now have a natural sun-kissed look. I'm of Irish decent w/green eyes, so the sun and I have a complicated relationship. It's vampire white and hissing at the sun, or 2nd degree burns. There's no in between. I also just don't want a really dark tan. I don't like the look.More reasons to like it. (in no particular order)1. Packaging is super cute. Like an MRE but for tanning.2. The mitt to apply it is awesome and whoever came up with that idea should get a bonus. Perfectly even color distribution right out of the gate.3. No strong chemical smell. Honestly I haven't noticed any odor at all.4. Minimum effort needed. With the mitt I'm done with my whole body in probably 2-3 minutes5. It doesn't build up around joints like a lot of others. A lot end up really dark around your ankles/elbows/feet. I usually just skip the top of my feet, but I don't have to with this.6. Dries almost instantaneously. No standing in front of a fan waiting for it to dry.7. I haven't seen any transfer on clothes or furniture.8. Price point is spot on.I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a quick and hassle free natural tan.

Honestly, b.tan is the BEST self-tanner I have ever used! I’m so glad there’s finally an affordable option that looks natural. The hand mit prevents your hands from getting dyed and makes the foam go on smoothly. I put my self-tanner on after a shower, let it sit overnight, and then rinse off in the morning. However, I will warn that the ultra long lasting self-tanner goes on with a green tint. I thought it would fade without rinsing the first time I used it, and I was wrong. I woke up early for a flight to Florida, and by the time I got to the airport, my husband was asking why I looked green. Lol I was able to use makeup wipes to at least fix my face, but remember to rinse off before you leave the house! The love my tan bottle, which doesn’t last as long, does not have a green tint. Overall, I love this brand and it will always be my go-to for a natural tan!

I'm not orange. It doesn't have a super strong smell but it is faint. Legs have 2 coats on them. The rest of my body has one layer on. I used the B.tan forever and I used the b.tan mitten and the "we've got your back". For my face I used a foundation brush and went sparingly, blending all over my face and down my neck, chest and any other spot that needed a little touch up.Pro tip, don't forget to do your ears ( I used the foundation brush to do that too.)I did this after my kids and husband went to bed. I applied to my legs 1st, let it set an a couple hours, rinsed in cool water. Then I used it all over my body and face. And went to sleep in it. When I woke up, I rinsed off in the shower (about 45-90 seconds to rinse off the greenish application color) I did not exfoliate or anything. When my husband saw me he said, wow.. that looks really good, actually!! He had his doubts. 😂 He's seen me in a dark spray tan for our wedding and then again for our honeymoon in Mexico but it's been years and years since I spent money on a spray tanWe have 2 kids and 1 income (mom guilt is so real!!) So, me spending money on myself for a spray tan wouldn't happen but for $10 I can look this tan. Okay!! I'll probably put another application on the rest of my body when I don't have to put clothes on right away and I think I'll be happier. I do wish it was a little thicker. I lost some on the floor because it fell off the "we've got your back" applicator. I also dripped some on a really light blue shirt but rinsed in cold water immediately and put some Mrs Myers soap on it and let it set wet over night. Put it in the washer this morning and it came out, to my surprise!!Pros:-Affordable-Easy to use-No orange umpa loompa color-Very light sent-Little to no color transfer to other fabric-Dries pretty quick-Not sticky afterwards-No UV damageCons:-You do need to have time to do it-It did make my skin feel more dry-A little itchy until rinsed but nothing that wasn't tolerable.I'm very curious to see how long this will last. I feel like there isn't a ton left in the bottle so if I can't get at least 2 decent tans out of it, it will loose the affordability aspect for me.None of my pictures have filters or any editing1st picture is how pale I am naturally, the rest are with b.tan forever.This is just an honest review from a stay at home mom of 2!! Also, I always apply some sort of cornstarch based powder to myself after any tanning applications. It definitely helps in the areas like under the bum, behind your knees, inner elbows (the ditch), under cleavage, around belly button, basically anywhere you might sweat or have clothes rub. Don't forget to shake the bottle very well before each use 😉I received nothing to give this review. 6/8/23Will update if it fades weird!!***UPDATE*** 6/21/2023Just get it, if you're on the fence just buy it. I'm out fades beautifully. Just like a natural tan would fade. ZERO WEIRD SPOTS. I also noticed that when I'm in the floor with my toddler, my knees are still tanned after being on the carpet. I've spent 3Xs the $$ on a spray tan that literally rubbed off on carpet. This stuff doesn't do that at all.I got no weird spots, even though I thought it was very uneven. Once I did the 1st rise, everything looked smooth and even. This stuff is like stupid proof!! You don't have to know what you're really doing and you'll still get a great tanned. I can't rave about this stuff enough! My 1st review 6/8/23. Today is the 21st and I'm still tan.. it's just fading so beautifully. I'll probably reapply before I go on vacation in a couple of weeks so that way the tan will last me my entire vacation with just one application!! I'm just so excited about this.I did NOT receive anything for anyone for this review. Just my honest opinion, busy mom, very pale naturally, I burn so easily in the sun. I'm changing my 4 star review to a 5 star because of how nicely it fades away. We all know, this will make or break a sunless tanner. And again, ZERO ORANGE color.

The first time I used Love at First Tan, I feel like I didn’t use enough product and couldn’t really see the color guard. I put one coat on and I will say it was a really nice natural brown color, no orange but it was very light and just looked like I was in the sun for an hour. I left the tan on for 2 hours because that was all the time I had. I just did it again after taking the previous try off and exfoliating and shaving. I did two coats 30 mins apart and left on for 5 hours. It’s definitely slightly orange in some areas and a little patchy. I think it’s patchy because it wasn’t fully dry before my second application and it smeared around the first coat. I also think it turned a little orange even though it’s not supposed to because I did two coats. One coat was not orange at all. I will definitely have to experiment with it. It doesn’t have a scent when applying but as it sits on your skin it does smell like typical fake tan. I’ve showered twice since and I still smell like fake tan. I think that’s unavoidable with all of them because it’s your skin reacting to the DHA. Overall, it’s a cheap option and does have nice color. Two coats didn’t work well for me but I think this will be a nice option to use as it gets colder and I want a light tan not anything too dark.

Great product! I did a lot of research into what type of tanner would work best for my skin as I’ve only done fake tan a few times in my life and it was usually by someone else (either a business or relative); anywho, came to the conclusion that, based on my fair skin and coloring, this would be my best bet! Loved the price, love the ease of application (definitely look into proper self tan prep ahead of time, exfoliating/barrier lotion/application mitt makes a difference in quality), and I love how great my tan came out looking! I was worried about it being too dark, but it was just right, just dark enough to be noticeable without looking put on or fake. Do be careful opening the package, I didn't realize the lid was loose and spilled some on my hand, but thankfully I was able to wash it off immediately so it didn’t stain! Highly recommend, definitely buying again in the future!!!

I had used the lighter version, love at first tan, and really liked it as I am fair complected so I wanted to start with the lighter one. I thought it gave me a really nice tan but I wanted a little more color so I ordered this one. I received it 6 days ago. I finished off the other one and then two days later started using this one, tanned AD. I’ve already used an entire bottle and had to use part of the second bottle. I’m not getting enough color and I’m not someone who’s trying to be sure dark as my naturals complexion is fair. Today at 2:00pm I used it. I wait plenty of time to get dressed afterwards to be sure I’m dry. I didn’t do anything today, I went outside a couple of time for a few mins each time to bring in my cat but I did not get sweaty and I wasn’t wearing tight fitting clothes. I reapplied it again tonight because the color still wasn’t really any different than when I apply it once during the day. I have used the lighter one love at first ran twice ina day and had more color than I’m getting with this one. I wa so happy with the lighter one and I have to say I am extremely disappointed. I received the lighter one, love ag first tan on July 3 and still had some left and have been using it on my face the last few time and be. Had enough of it left to use in some places on my body a few days ago when I started realizes this darker color was not very good. So the lighter one gave me better color and lasted longer. I’ve used an entire bottle in four days and had to start using the second one when I did my second application today. As much as I’ve been using it you’d think I would be super dark or at least darker than I was using the lighter version. But I am not. I am doable so I am not amending much time outside, I’m not exercising or getting hot and sweaty and rubbing the self tanner off.That brings me to my next complaint. The hand mit wasn’t that great. I honestly felt like it soaked up too much of the producer. I think disposable gloves work so much better. I actually felt like I needed gloves in under this mit, although it was helpful in some areas I’ll stil to my gloves.I’m just extremely let down my this darker shade. I noticed the grey tone which I didn’t mind because I could see where it was applied and I hoped it would keep the tone from being too warm. That’s another thing I liked about the lighter one it was violet based so I assumed they all would be. They really should be. I never really leave bad reviews, but I was amaor afraid this one might be too dark for me. Instead I’m wishing I had either stuck with the lighter more violet, love at first ran, or gone with a completely doffwrent brand. I was really impressed with the lighter one. But to have already used an entire bottle and started on the second one after only using it four or five days and one of those days I didn’t use it at all. And one day i just touched up places that weren’t at dark as other areas and then did an all over application later. As I also found that happened a lot with this shade, places I knew I applied it evenly as I have been extremely careful and diligent with my application. I guess I just won’t buy this anymore and I really can’t believe how let down I’ve been by the darker color when I really did love the first one. I just wanted a little more color but the tanned AF was kinda terrible tbh. I wanted to love it as much as the other. I hate that I spent money on this and it really wasn’t worth it. And the most was foot for a few spots but overall it wasn’t as useful as I’d expected. Sorry b. tan, but unfortunately I was not Tanned AF. 🥹

I will say I really like things about this product. In my photos you can see me in the same outfit and similar lighting/time of day before, and then 2 days after tanning (1 rinse after applying, then 1 shower with soap ). I like the mitt it comes with and application is fairly simple once you get used to it. It’s also nice that once this product is dried on the skin (before rinsing off) it does not transfer to things. Like I slept in my bed overnight with it on and my white comforter had no tint on it which is impressive considering other products have ruined some clothes I own.I start with applying my back first (to avoid blotching on other areas like my arms etc) then I do my stomach, arms, then legs. The last step I do is my face and feet. They do sell another product for your face I think it’s a mist or spray. But a tip is apply with just the remnants left over after tanning the rest of your body. And or moisturizer before applying to the face so it doesn’t get too dark.If you’re like me, my skin has dry spots. My knees, toes, fingers, ankles, and elbows. I exfoliate daily and vigorously the days before tanning to try to soften these spots. I have tried the trick of applying lotion or moisturizer to these spots. And I apply only the excess of the product left after tanning the rest of my skin. All these tips help a little, but no matter what I do (see pic) my knees and ankles and feet still come out looking darker and splotchy. Which isn’t very seamless or cute. I wish I could fix this. I’m going to try to find other techniques or maybe a different product from their line like the face mister possibly. Because I don't think anyone skips their feet or hands when tanning, nor wants a tan line at the top of their feet or hands. I believe the moisturizer trick worked well for my hands though and my hands look seamless.Another thing, for this product boasting its long length of tan (at least 11 days it says) I have to disagree. After one shower it is there, but once I shower twice or three times it’s almost gone. And I follow the tips of using lukewarm water not hot. And I don’t exfoliate when I’m tanned. Sure there’s a tint still, but it i’m white after 2 showers. I’d say this lasts 3-5 days depending on your shower routine. After that point, the amount left on your skin isn’t effective enough to call it a tan. I’m going to try doing a second coating after rinsing the initial coat off.Last point.. or tip, do not exfoliate or use a wash wrag with coarseness or a loofa to wash your body after tanning, that is if you want it to stay. Also do not dry your body off vigorously with a towel. You will scratch the tint off on your skin. I’ve had patches on my knees and feet with my white skin peaking through due to this.My final thoughts, I’m likely going to try to find a different product because for the amount of effort and rinsing for the tan for application, it’s not worth the time it lasts. Or I need to find a way to get those rough patches of skin gone but it’s unlikely I can get that removed completely. A product I actually like more is the jergens brand tan lotion that you don’t need to rinse off after applying. The only thing is it transfers initially if you put clothes on right after but after it’s dried and on there it doesn’t have that issue.

This is the best self tanner I have ever used. The main reason? It doesn't stink. I can't stand the horrendous scents of other tanning lotions. This one goes on so nicely and even if you miss a spot, it's pretty forgiving and won't be super noticeable. Also there are no orange hues. You get a nice bronze color. It isn't sticky at all which I love. Once it dries you won't even feel it. I wish the actual tan lasted a little longer but that could be my fault for not exfoliating and moisturizing properly.

Does not work. Washed right off. Tired it 3 different times and it just washes right off and nothing ever develops.Your better off going outside and tanning or using a tanning bed. Save your money.

Love this product, I've always enjoyed having a tan. But not wanting to risk skin damage this product is a great alternative. I get lots of compliments on my tan, such as I wish I had time to work on a tan like that....
