The US Solid was within +/- 5% while testing our Starch. This viscometer is easy to setup and operate. Does exactly what we need it for. Keep in mind though I look at this viscometer as a burner viscometer. If you break it or need any type of repairs/service you have to buy a new one. It does have a one year manufacturer's warranty. And you have calibrate yourself every 6 months-12 months how ever your requirements are. But being a burner for our needs in the elements it's in. It's far cheaper for us to buy one of these every year then buying a Brookfield and having it serviced when needed Review: Spend a little more and get something better - Wish we would have just spent a little more money to get a better, more accurate meter. It will work if you spend a day trying to understand it.
