Works fine. Sent the first one through the dishwasher by accident and it was no longer accurate a room tems but accurate at cooking temps.Easy and inexpensive to replace. Much easier for my 80 year old eyes to read vs dials.

Cheaply built. The thing won't stay closed. The slightest bump in the drawer while it's in storage and it pops open. The gauge seems accurate enough.

It sure beats guessing whether food is done or not

Ok so this meat thermometer seems to work well, I don't have another to compare with, I can tell you my pork steak was hot! (176 as it is stated on the thermometer ) Haha. The screen is big so it is really easy to see the temperature of your meat, this is nice as I don't have to put my glasses on while cooking. When you extend the probe it turns on, when you fold it back up it turns off, this is great! Use it on the grill, in the oven, in a slow cooker and check your meat in a big broil pot. It is a nice thermometer. I think my biggest issue is the probe has randomly popped out on me, this is no good. The 2nd issue is the battery, just like other people said it's not a deal breaker but when your packaging says this:What included in the package?1 X Siensync thermometer1 X AAA batteryThen I would think you would make sure your product is up to par with your words. Other then that is a nice product just keep it in a drawer for safety.I received this at a discounted price for my honest review/opinion, that does NOT sway my reviews/opinions at all. Very nice quality digital food thermometer from Siensync. It is very accurate. I compared to a digital thermometer I currently use and the readings were practically identical. The on off feature is pretty neat as well. Extend the probe, the thermometer comes on, fold the probe and the power goes off. The probe has a spring type extension so it pops up once you unclip the tip creating a switch blade type effect which is pretty cool. The thermometer does take one triple A battery that unfortunately does not come with the thermometer although the description states otherwise, but it is not a deal breaker. There is a magnet that is inside the thermometer but it is very weak and doesn't hold the thermometer in place on a vertical surface very well at all. Would have been nice had they installed a stronger magnet so that one could actually keep the thermometer out of the drawers and stuck to any metal kitchen appliance within arms reach. Overall the thermometer is pretty ok. Aside from the oversights like description stating a triple A battery is included and the magnet being too small and weak for the size and weight of this thermometer, I am content with my purchase. this is a handy little thermometer to have around. It works for the grill beautify. We use our meat smoker frequently and this makes it a lot easier to keep track of the temperature. Especial when working with pork. The quickness of the thermometer to get an accurate reading means that you wont loose all of your heat and smokey goodness by needing the lid to be off the smoker for to long. It works as well in the kitchen. I have used it to keep track of a roast in the slow cooker. I have discovered that it will read the temperature of the dish water, and am thinking of getting another to keep in the bathroom for the baby's bath water. This way, I will feel safer about not scalding him. The Digital Meat Food Thermometer is well made. It operates one 1 AAA battery which is not included. The Thermometer is very easy to use. Extend the probe and the unit turns on. Fold the probe back and the unit turns off. I tested the unit against a thermometer fork I've been using for years and the comparison proved The Digital Meat Food Thermometer to be accurate. I am very pleased with the unit and would recommend to anyone who needs a meat thermometer.I mainly use it when grilling, but can be used in the kitchen as well. This is a handy little gadget. I am always paranoid if my meat is cooked long enough, especially chicken. With this I always have my meat at the right temp for proper consumption. I love how you can stick it to the fridge for easy access and don't have to riffle through your gadget drawer.
