Zero Sugar Grapefruit Tonic Soda Syrup Concentrate 500 ml - Make 12.5 Litres of Sugar-Free Soft Drink by Adding Flavouring to Carbonated Sparkling Fizzy Water

Delicious grapefruit flavour with undertones of the quinine from the tonic. Some reviewers complain of an aftertaste of sweetener, however I believe it is the quinine they are probably tasting. As with basic tonic water you do get that lingering slightly metallic flavour. I love it because as a type 1 diabetic for the past 62 years, it has always been difficult to find new/original flavours in sugar free drinks. It is quite expensive, they state it will make up 12.5 litres of grapefruit tonic, (40ml/litre of soda water) which comes to 80p/litre. Cheaper than Schweppes tonics but not cheaper than those you can buy from supermarkets such as Tesco’s. However I make a much greater quantity using 25ml of this for every litre of soda water I make using my soda stream, thus making 20 litres at 50p/litre. At that price it becomes economical and the flavour is still good.

Absolutly delightful a nice change from my usual drink will defo be buying again plus sugar free.

The description says zero sugar. This is a complete lie. It may not contain natural sugars, but is does have sucralose, which has been shown to be as harmful, if not more than, natural sugars.

Lovely stuff. More like bitter lemon than anything else. You really don't need very much - I found 40ml per litre to be too much. Excellent mixer for a long gin or vodka.

Bought this for to make grapefruit seltzer, only put a drop in tho as its very sweet & only need a drop just to flavor as very strong flavor

Très rafraîchissant mais il faut en mettre très très peu une cuillère à soupe suffit là-bas sinon c'est très sucré ne pas oublier que c'est un extrait sans sucre et non un sirop sans sucre qui lui est plus dilué moi j'en ai toujours en réserve.

Dit drankje is erg zoet. Voor de rest is de smaak prima, maar omdat het zo zoet is moet je het sterk verdunnen en dat gaat helaas ten koste van de smaak.

Je voulais faire une boisson a base de tonic, j'avais esperés trouver l'equivalent, j'aime bien le pamplemousse donc c'était parfait. J'avoue que j'ai eu un peu peur en voyant les bouteille arriver. J'ai donc décidé de tester avec un bulk de 750ml (doit moins d'un litre) afin de voir si c'était potable. La première version faites était très, trop légère, dans de l'eau plate, j'ai mesuré la dose avec une dosette de 25ml, j'en ai donc rajouté une deuxieme et 10ml de concentré de citron (pour cuisine). Le gout est déjà plus agreable, beaucoups plus proche de ce que je peux parfois acheter en magasin. Seul hic: l'acidité qui manque, je pense, en raison que je fait avec de l'eau plate et non gazeuse (vu qu'on m'as interdit d'en boire). Mais franchement, je suis bluffée, et je ne regrette aucunement mon achat. Je pense tester d'autres gouts a l'avenir, histoire de voir ;p
