Works Great For A Broken Fan
Any time one of my friends has a broken laptop they bring it to me. One friend recently gave me her laptop to fix that had a broken fan. After researching, I found how much work was involved to replace the fan on her particular model and decided it wasn't worth the effort for an older laptop. I got online to check out external fans and came across this style of cooler. Decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I chose this one mainly because of the price, but also because it had no useless lights that would drive me/her crazy. I installed the fan and spent the next eight hours cleaning up her laptop...removing all the freeware, unused software, and conflicting anti-virus programs she had installed...as well as adding a few features I knew she could use. Some of this work was very processor intensive and the laptop stayed within heat margins for the duration. That's first hand experience right there and I can absolutely attest to the effectiveness of these coolers...specifically on a non-gaming laptop that gets moderate personal and business use and has a non-working internal fan.The mechanism for mounting this cooler does leave a little to be desired. I wish it was a little more secure so you could move the laptop from place to place without having to support the cooler or remove it. I made it a little sturdier by attaching some heavy duty velcro to the mounting plate and the bottom of the laptop, but it's still a little flimsy/wobbly. I'm sure these will improve as time passes, so keep an eye on them. Overall, I would definitely recommend these coolers for the situation describe above.

Pretty Awesome...
Very *cool*!This thing is really creative. Of course I didn't think to consider having to sacrifice a usb port... but you could easily plug it into a converter for your phone or whatnot... and it works great. If you don't want to do the rigging to to attach the extension to your laptop (wish they had another plastic piece as a dock with super sticky goo on it.... or something... or maybe some sort of velcro?Anyhow... I propped it up in place with the bubble wrap it came with... and also on the halved tennis balls I use a prop / stand. I'll probably get some velcro like most people on here... but I really don't travel with this laptop. I just take my tablet more often than not. I will say that they include several styles of silicon seal sleeves.. so that was rad. Sure the manual is simple... but you'd have to be simple not to figure out how to snap the plastic on the fan.GET IT... way better than the only underside prop cooling mats! You won't regret it! Great price too..and came quickly with prime.

GOOD PRODUCT - ARRIVED ON TIME.
This product really makes me happy. No more over heating issue with my laptop so far. For how long it will last is what I am looking forward to see.Not so quiet but works well. The suction cup fits properly to my laptop exhausted window. Easy to install. Half the price of the Opolar and does the job.

Seems to be cooling my laptop, although the laptop ...
Seems to be cooling my laptop, although the laptop cooling grill is much longer than the cooler even with the largest adapter attached.

I like it but it should come with its own double sided tape or something.

It is ok.
I have a MSI GE60 3 gen i5 cpu upgraded to i7. My GPU is always 100% with no problem. But CPU is always throttling (both i5 and i7) due to the heat. This fan does its job but not surprise me. I will compare this to the cooling pad(cooler master) I have.I use 3DMARK06 cpu score.GE60 fan only(turbo mode) 4596. With this vacuum fan 4984. With cooling pad 4876. With both vacuum fan and cooling pad 5043.During all test, i7 always hit 98C and throttle. GPU 53~55C.Pro:。much smaller than cooling pad。cheap, about $10。cooling effect slightly better than cooling padcon:。noise level, my dB test: Vacuum fan > GE60 fan > cooling pad。high pitch noise.. not good for some quite horror or stealth games。when vacuum fan is mounted, you always need to turn it on, or it will block the vent and build up heat. On the contrary, cooling pad lifts the whole laptop to help air intake even when power is off.。no real attachment to laptop, one more item to carry when you move your laptop.
