They work perfectly and I am very pleased with them
It is exactly what I thought it would be. I had a total shoulder replacement and needed them for the strengthening of my arm/shoulder. They work perfectly and I am very pleased with them.

Well made, comfortable and they see durable
Yes, I too am one of those people who received this item free of charge for the purpose of checking it out and writing a review. I am not required to write a positive review. I wriite honest ones and am not compensated or bribed in any way other than receiving the item at no cost. There, that's out of the way.I am not a professional trainer nor am I even a gym person. Most of my exercise consists of daily walking and also lugging around twenty plus pounds of camera gear. When I was offered this weight set I figured I would try it on my daily walk. I am a bit of a wimp so I ordered the lightest pair. This is a decision I am now regretting as it was just a bit too light to make my walk feel like more of a workout. But that's not the weights' fault. It's my fault for thinking heavier would be difficult. See, I've used ankle weights before and because of how the weight was distributed the heavier weights were too much. These weights really distribute the weight comfortably. When I started out on my first walk with them I kept them ever so slightly loose but within a half mile or so I realize that they would be more comfortable if they were fit right to me -- not tight per se, but with no wiggle room. The walk was comfortable with these on. There was no uncomfortable rubbing either from the fabric or from the stitching. I didn't find the fabric uncomfortably hot. All in all I would say they are very good weights. Right now they are priced between about 22 for the lightest ones to close to thirty for the heavier ones. I'd like to see the price come down just a bit.BOTTOM LINE: Nice comfortable weights. Well distributed with very secure velcro closure. Make sure the velcro closure is on the outer part of your ankle lest you get your ankles stuck together the way I did the first time I put these on and wasn't paying attention!

Quality ankle ankle weights with a secure Velcro closure
NOTE: I received a free sample of these ankle weights for review purposes. I am an amateur, unpaid reviewer and received absolutely NO compensation beyond this free product sample.I own ankle weights that are ancient--seriously, they are about 30 years old, with an old-fashioned metal buckle. I have thought about upgrading to an easy-on Velcro pair for years, and so I was thrilled to finally try a modern set of ankle weights with this pair from Habitual Ninja. These ankle weights are attractive, mostly black but with bright mint green detail. They appear to be very sturdy and well-made. They are 2.2 pounds total, or 1.1 pounds per weight. One thing that I was a little dismayed to see is that they DO still have a buckle! Although they fasten with Velcro, instead of the Velcro just wrapping around the outside of the weight as I had expected, you do need to loop the Velcro closure through the metal piece, or buckle, first. This probably makes for a more secure fit, although it also means that it takes just a bit longer to fasten the weights. This might not seem like a big deal, but sometimes in fitness videos, they switch over to a new exercise quite quickly.Otherwise, I did like these weights. They were comfortable to wear around my ankles--even without socks and shoes--and they didn't slide around like my old ankle weights. Overall, I think these weights are a quality product, and I would recommend them.

These ankle weights are nice, however
These ankle weights are nice, however, for a girl with bigger ankles I had to place the weights at their largest capacity to wear as ankle weights. Since the fabric is more of a spandex material the weights are comfortable to wear even if you get sweaty. Because of the size I prefer to use these weights as wrist weights as I walk, and I can tell a difference in my work out routine. I like that when you wear them on your wrist they allow your hands to be free for holding the treadmill bar or taking a drink of water. I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these. I did also receive these weights in exchange for my honest review
