Not worth the money
I have had success with other Streetwise maps, so I ordered this one. Breaks from one side to another are in bad spots. It has nowhere the detail of the Lonely Planet map that comes with the mini-Sydney book. The free map our hotel and I am sure other hotels give out is much better than the Streetwise map of Sydney. Save your money...you will need it in very expensive Sydney!

A plastic map which shows streets, important buildings, and underground stations -- an invaluable aid for a tourist.
This plastic map is ideal for carrying with you because it won't wrinkle like paper. I bought this map for a gift to a friend who went to Sydney to attend a conference, and he has written that the map is very helpful as he goes around on sight-seeing walks.

Not as good as other StreetWise maps
I have used many of these StreeWise maps for cities all over the world and all in general are very good. This Sydney map seems a little limited on the overall coverage. Immediate downtown is OK if that is what you are looking for.

Indispensable for tourists
I love these maps, they never disappoint. The Sydney one covers all the parts of the city that most tourists are likely to visit, with sufficient detail to keep you from getting lost, even on the smallest streets.There is no better map on the market today.

Needs more detail
Found map not detailed enough for my purpose which is to use public transportation to tour Sydney. Better maps in guidebook but I was looking for a map so I would not have to carry the guide book around all day.

We didn't tour Sydney as the goal of our visit was to visit the Outback and Cattle Stations. However, another map of this quality we did use extensively and it was helpful.

Good map for a limited area
Useful, but the area covered is limited to the most central areas. I would have liked it to cover other areas where we found ourselves afoot.

City center
When I bought it I didn't realize that it doesn't show my friends condo who lives in Sydney by Bondi Beach which is a tourist attraction.

Not worth the price.
The map only covers the city centre and is therefore limited in use. A much more comprehensive set of maps which also covers some suburbs is included in the Top 10 Sydney guide together with a public transport map. This map does not represent good value for the price.

Speedy delivery and good communication, now all we have to do is try it out in Sydney!
