The beep is pretty audible under a pillow in another room, but haven't put it to the test in the outdoors yet. The device is a bit bulky but the problem is the plastic ears their sharp as hell and could be very abrasive to a cats neck. We plan to file it down with a dremmel before making the cat actually wear it.

The device is loud but not loud enough to be heard upwind or over hundred feet or so ( if it was it would drive an animal nuts). The device has no method of showing the direction of the animal ( I did not know that this feature was lacking when I bought it).

Very disappointed when I opened the package. Tags were too large for my cat and Made of a cheap plastic. You can’t just light up the collar, only one function that beeps and lights up. “ID stickers” are like children’s stickers, can’t read the writing.It did arrive on time and I’m waiting to see if I have trouble returning it, hence the two stars.

I use these for my yorkies who like to hide on me when they know I'm leaving for work. Click of the button and they are ratted out....love it. Only thing I don't like is that its in the shape of a CAT....ha, I hate cats, but its worth it to know where my furkids are.

wish it had a little more distance

I've had mine for 3 or 4 years now for my house cat. Works every time. The best part is that it didn't take long for the cat to associate the noise with receiving a treat so the cat taught itself to come to me when I use it instead of me having to find the cat
