Read reviews all comparable headsets. True Dio had the best and most favorable reviews. Have had this headset for a week and it performs as advertised. It actually works out of direct sight of the transmitter. The tone control does help amplify low voices. I like the overall sound performance.However, the ear buds are uncomfortable after a short period of time. Actually, my wife took hers off after an hour because they started hurting. The ear loop furnished with the system does take some of the weight of the unit off of the inner part of the ear. However the rim that holds the ear loop on keeps the ear bud inside the ear from flexing casing irritation after a period of time. Close examination of the ear piece indicates that the rim that holds the ear loop in place is not necessary since the ear bud itself fits tight enough to hold the ear loop in place. I have not yet tried grinding the rim off because I don't want to void the warantee.Also, the charging pins that also hold the headset in the charger are very small. you have to be careful when trying to line up the holes in the headset and the charger. For what this head set costs, there should also be different size ear buds available to fit different ears. I am going to see if I can find other ear buds that will fit.I would give this headset a 5 star rating if it had a better overall ear bud design.

I have been using TV Ears for the past 3 to 4 years, I have 4 head sets , three broken. TV Ears had a special and I ordered it. When I called to see when they were shipping I was told by the end of March. That was the first of March. Started looking and discovered TrueDio on Amazon and decided to try it. Thanks to TV Ears bad service I now have the best wireless headset system and am tickled to death with them. Much clearer sound, better background block and more comfortable. Have only had these a week but they seem to be sturdier. If you need help hearing and understanding The TV you will not be disappointed if you buy TrueDio!

Had TV ears for 1 and the other wanted one - so ordered the TrueDio Ears - for 2 93 year olds. They both LOVE them - say the ear pieces are much more comfortable than TV ears - lighter too. And wow - they can actually hear EVERYTHING on the TV for the first time in years - before volume had to be so high it became distorted. Great product

She is deaf in one ear...watches TV at night...and sometimes with my Dad...they love it. Also, if she watches alone...no one can hear the TV!! We had TV EARS..this brand is much better in our opinion..and more comfortable! better sound!

I bought this product in the summer for my Dad. What I liked about this product is this: Light Weight, Mute Button Feature and 2 Headsets. Well, my 81 year old Dad refused to try this set for 2 months. He laughed at us. Well, he was given the ultimatum one day. Dad need the TV on Volume 42 while we needed 15 ! Ouch, right ? Fast forward to present day, Dad loves this headset and wears them. First, they are light weight which makes them comfortable. They hang under the chin and do not get in the way. Second, you can mute your TV 100% but you can still listen with the headset. This means my husband and I can have a chat while Dad watches and listens to the TV all in the same room. If one of us can't sleep, we can come into our living room and put the headset on and no one knows that the other one is out there watching TV. So, no one gets disturbed. Third, you get 2 ! Sometimes we forget to put a headset back in the charger so you have the bonus of retrieving the other or 2 people can use at the same time. I can listen to the TV at a normal level of 15 while my dad & husband can listen to it at their listening level. A win-win-win in our home except for the first 2 months when they were refused. LOL (laugh out loud) !

So far, so good. My husband likes the comfort of the ear plugs and the sound. He no longer has to wear his hearing aids with the headset -as he did with TV ears - which merits 4-5 stars, but I am disappointed with the additional purchase of the adaption kit at $65+ as a better option than the cords into my cable box. At the time of purchase, it was not clear that I would have to buy this tv adaption hdmi, and it seems too expensive. I had hope the TrueDio system would have been complete -not bits and pieces. Without this additional adaptor set, he cannot watch any shows, including Netflix that are streamed or any shows through AppleTV. Too bad it was not clear -all the instructions said was to call Customer Service, but searching the website, I found that this other adaption set was needed. Otherwise, we would have given 5 stars.

These are wonderful! We are in our 70's and one of us wears a hearing aid.These Wireless Ears saved the day for us. Be sure to order the right kind, however, because we were sent the analog set which we had to return to get the set suited for digital TV. The people at the company were so helpful via telephone; their customer service and technical help is top notch! Contact them if you have any questions before ordering to be sure you get the right kind. When we are alone, we have closed captioning on. I remember how irritating it was to visit someone who used cc and the printed words obscured the scene. Without cc we had the TV up so loud, it was horrible for guests. So, now with the TruDio Ears, the volume is perfect for company, no closed captions, and both my husband and I can adjust the set to our own liking. Each ear also can be adjusted. I can wear it with or without my hearing aid . A set of these would be useful too for anyone who wants a different volume than someone else in the room.

I ordered the black/red version and they sent me the green one instead. Not a huge deal, but it doesn't match and the green ones look very cheap. Also, there's a constant background hiss, particularly if the volume is low. The headset ear buds don't fit snugly into my ears and outside noise gets in easily (though my girlfriend probably likes that side effect...). One of the charging cradles in the base does not seem to charge a headset. I can just switch them around, but it's annoying that one of them does not work. Perhaps if they had sent me the black/red ones I would keep them. They work ok with the volume turned up.
